CEPT University B.Arch Admission 2025

CEPT University's flagship program is B.Arch. Candidates must pass the aptitude test, i.e., NATA/ACPC + Merit List, and have a 10+2 grade point average of 50% or 45% in the reserved category. There are 120 seats available in the B.Arch program. ACPC and GoG will fill 25% of the total seats, while CEPT University will fill 75% (All India Seats).

Admission to the B.Arch program is based on the completion of the 10+2 and diploma requirements.

Educational Qualification (10+2):

• Must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following:
  • Chemistry / Biology / Technical Vocational Subject / Computer Science / Information Technology / Information Practices / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies.
• A minimum of 45% aggregate marks is required.

Educational Qualification (Diploma Route):

• Must have passed a 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
• A minimum of 45% aggregate marks is required.
• The candidate must have passed all subjects in the qualifying examination from a single board of education.
• The diploma should be from:
  • The Technical Examination Board, Gujarat State, or
  • A recognized university under a Central or State Act or / UGC Act.

CEPT University B.Arch Selection Criteria 2025

Entrance Test Requirement for National Candidates:

• Must have a valid NATA score as conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA).

For International Schooling (Outside India):

• Must fulfill CoA's minimum eligibility criteria.
• The qualification must be equivalent as per the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

CEPT University UG Admission 2025

CEPT University provides BUD, B.Tech {Hons.}, and B.Des. courses at the undergraduate level. Except for BUD and B.Des, 50% of seats in all UG courses are filled using ACPC guidelines established by the Gujarat government, and 50% using CEPT University regulations. The minimum eligibility requirement is 10+2 in the relevant stream.

For admission to B.Arch. and B.Des. programs, candidates must have a valid NATA and UCEED score. Candidates for B.Tech {Hons.} must have JEE Main or GUJCET, along with the CEPT Aptitude Test.

CEPT University UG Eligibility & Selection Criteria

For B.Des Program

• Candidates must qualify for UCEED.
• Must have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in any of the following:
  • 10+2 from a recognized board (Central/State)
  • 2-year Pre-University or equivalent exam
  • IB Diploma or Cambridge A-level
  • 3-year AICTE-approved Diploma
  • Any 10+2 equivalent as recognized by AIU
• If the 12th is not a public exam, candidates must have passed at least one public exam before appearing for UCEED.

For the BUD (Bachelor of Urban Design) Program

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and one of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Technical Vocational subject, CS, IT, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies.
• Must have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• OR passed a 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• Must have a valid NATA score.
• Students from foreign boards must have AIU equivalence.
• Must have passed all subjects from a single board.

For B.Tech (Honours in Civil Engineering) Program

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics, and one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a Technical Vocational subject.
• Must have a minimum of 45% marks (General) and 40% marks (Reserved categories).
• For University seats, candidates must have appeared in JEE Main Paper 1.
• For ACPC seats, candidates must have appeared in GUJCET.

CEPT University JEE Main Cutoff for the General Category has been slightly increasing in recent years. In 2025, the overall cutoff rank for admission through JEE Main was 8265, while in 2024, it stood at 8757.

CEPT University, Gujarat, has not yet released its ACPC cutoff for 2025. However, the previous years’ data show that for the General category, the ACPC cutoff rank was 8757 in 2024 and 12958 in 2023.

CEPT University M.Arch Admission 2025

The M.Arch program at CEPT University is designed for graduates in architecture and related fields, focusing on advanced design, research, and critical thinking. It prepares students for specialized roles in architecture, conservation, urban design, and academic or professional practice. CEPT University offers an M.Arch in six specializations, with a total of 148 seats.

CEPT University M.Arch Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B. Arch) or an equivalent recognized by the Council of Architecture (COA) with a minimum aggregate mark of 55% for general category candidates and 50% for reserved category candidates from a recognized university.

Eligibility for M Arch & MA (Conservation and Regeneration)

• Candidates must have completed a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree with at least 55% aggregate marks, or 50% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates, from any of India's recognized universities or institutes.

• Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination B.Tech (Structural, Civil), B. A in Archaeology, Bachelor's in Interior Design (Minimum 4 years), Bachelor's in Urban Design or Planning (Minimum 4 years). The minimum requirement to apply for the programs is 55% aggregate marks for general category candidates and 50% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates in the qualifying degree.

Eligibility for M.Arch & M.A. (Architectural History and Research)

Primary Qualification:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or equivalent recognized by COA.
• Minimum 55% marks (General) or 50% marks (Reserved category).

Other Accepted Qualifications:

• 4-year Bachelor's in:
  • Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Interior Design / Urban Design / Urban Planning
  • B.Des (Design)
• 4-year Bachelors in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or related disciplines.
• Postgraduate degree (2-year full-time) in:
  • Botany, Ecology, Horticulture, Geography, Agriculture, Forestry, Hydrology, Geology, etc. (with a bridge course).
• 4-year Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Planning (with bridge course).

Bridge Course Note:

• Group B candidates (non-architecture backgrounds) must complete a 3-week bridge course at CEPT (provisional admission until completion).

Additional Requirements (Preferred):

• Minimum 2 years of professional/teaching experience.
• Good drawing and presentation skills (both hand and digital).

CEPT University M.Arch Selection Criteria 2025

The admission process has two stages:

Stage I – Shortlisting

• Your application, portfolio, and documents will be reviewed by an expert panel.
• You must meet the minimum marks criteria (55% for General, 50% for Reserved).
• Portfolios will be checked for originality (no plagiarism allowed).
• Some top candidates may receive direct admission or scholarship consideration at this stage.

Stage II – Final Selection

Shortlisted students will appear for:

• An online MCQ test
• A design or subject-specific task

The final merit list will be based on performance in Stage II.

CEPT University MUM Admission 2025

CEPT also offers Master’s programs in the field of Urban Management. The admission is based on a valid CAT, MAT, or CMAT score, SOP, and Work Experience, followed by the UMAT (Urban Management Aptitude Test).

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream with:
  • 50% marks for the General category
  • 45% marks for the Reserved category
• Applicants will be shortlisted based on:
  • Valid CAT, MAT, or CMAT score
  • Academic performance and work experience
  • Awards or recognitions mentioned in the application
  • A 1-minute video introducing themselves and discussing one urban issue they care about
• UMAT (Urban Management Aptitude Test):

• Final admission is based on a merit list prepared after all stages.

CEPT University Ph.D. Admission 2025

CEPT University also offers Ph.D. programs in Planning and Architecture. Admissions are generally conducted in two cycles: Monsoon Semester and Spring Semester, which take place in July and January, respectively.

Admission is given based on the CEPT Entrance Test, followed by an interview. However, GATE or GRE-qualified candidates may also apply. The application form can be filled out online for a fee of INR 3500.

• Bachelor’s in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, IT, CS, Planning, Urban Design, Architecture
• Master's in any related field, including Remote Sensing, Energy, Geography, Physics, Environmental/Climate Studies, etc.

CEPT University Ph.D. in Architecture Eligibility & Selection Criteria 2025

• A Bachelor’s in Architecture is mandatory.
• Master’s in Architecture, Design, Conservation, History & Theory, Landscape (preferred)
• Also accepted: Master's in Social Sciences, Art History, Civil Engineering, if the Bachelor’s is in Architecture.e

Note:

• For Ph.D. Architecture candidates who have completed a 1-year/2-semester or 2-year/4-semester Master's degree program after a Bachelor's in Architecture are also eligible to apply.
• For Ph.D. Planning, Students without a background in Planning may be suggested additional coursework along with the Ph.D. coursework.
• A minimum of 55% marks in a Bachelor's degree and 50% marks in a Master's degree are a must.

UCEED Exam Pattern 2025

UCEED, also known as the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design, will be conducted by IIT, Bombay. The Institute has issued the notification with the latest pattern.
