The overall structure of the course is well managed, the studio systems, the faculty and flexibility.
Complete engagement through peer learning and events
Depends on your selection of the studio for each sem

Dislikes

Nothing that I dislike in particular about the college
The environement is somewhat hostile with the kind of students
The fees can be managed better, the returns are a bit low

Admission:

I applied in Cept, Nirma and Anant through ACPC forms. My first preference was Cept and i was accepted in the same. NATA is the elegibility exam for the course along with 12th exam marks which forms the final merit.

The way the teachers teach i as very awesome
They have great knowledge and are working in field and we have TA for guidance

I applid for the old collage that i used to study and but teaching ther was not good as guest faculty are there who are doing phd l. So generally they dont have high knowledge. But here there is fabulous teaching skills at cept. For admission You have to first give an cept entrance exam Then you have to clear interview.

Life at CEPT

Likes

No fixed curriculum for studies, which allows students explore their interest on their own, resulting in good outcomes.
The library at CEPT UNIVERSITY offers a wide range of book collections allowing students to engage deeply with their interests
The campus is open from 7am to 12pm everyday allowing students to spend more time on campus which helps them to engage and explore more with their work.

Dislikes

The first year curriculum is fixed for all disciplines which makes it slightly less helpful for students in upcoming years.
Dogs present on the campus create nuisance, which destroys our drawings sheets and models
Less mandatory classes allows less engagement with the history of architecture

Admission:

The exposure that Cept provides made me choose CEPT over any other institution. Even the students in one batch are from all over india, which helps in peer learning. Also some very hardworking architects are our tutors, which helps us in our learning.

Detailed analysis of CEPT university from the perspective of a first year student

Likes

The Campus is amazing very nature friendly
The infrastructure of all the departments and all the classes is up to date and top notch
The professors are all experienced in their respective fields.

Dislikes

Absence of air conditioning in a fee classes
Too many stray dogs roaming around on campus
The workload is a little too much sometimes students stay at the college till Midnight

I applied to ISDI, UID and BITS Design I was accepted into all of them but the main factor to chose CEPT was it is a 62 year old college with an established name in the industry and a well connected network of alumni all the other colleges did not have this, another thing was the rest were too expensive. The admission process for my college is very simple for design they accept the UCEED rank, for architecture and planning they accept NATA scores and for civil engineering they accept JEE Main ranks the process is completely merit based. And the common minimum eligibility is 40% aggregate percentage in 12th grade examination. The admission process is very streamlined and hassle free

Dream College

Likes

The college keeps in mind, the need to be modern and keeps updating itself. There is a foundation program which trains new joiners to get the skills necessary.
There is a good democracy within the administration and the student council also commands certain power. The views of the students and faculties are kept in mind.
The faculties taking the studios are real world professionals, with everyone having practises and are really professional and experts.

Dislikes

The management of wildlife on the campus.
The maintenance of some of the roads on the campus.
The rigorousness of the curriculum and the hardships.

Admission:

I chose this college over other colleges because of its legacy and great academics. The program in this college is very modern and unique and teaches the students to follow their own passions. One other point is also the location of Ahmedabad, which is very architecturally, rich and possess many buildings made by great architects and the exposure you get here is unmatched. The admission processes are fairly simple where a list is given out on the basis of Nata and boards. According to this list, the students are offered admission. we just have to show up with the documents and the process is very simple. Other government colleges follow very long processes, and you often get frustrated.

The atmosphere in the college is brilliant
The staff, the students, other facilities are amazing and friendly

Dislikes

There is nothing to be disliked much it's a good college
The sports facilities should have been more, but that doesn't not matter with the amount of studies required

Admission:

CEPT University which is a design college, needs various exams to get into various courses. For example, architecture needs nata, design needs uceed, and bct needs jee. The admission process is done online and is very convenient and fast.

CEPT - An Ecosystem

Likes

Very little amout ie, only 12 people in one studio so that faculty can give attention and feedback and discussion to each and everyone nicely.
Great food options. there are total two canteens, one which serves chinese and mess food. second one which serves fruits and fruit juices
Culture of the campus, people work day and night on campus in their studios. sometimes we take our toothbrushes to college during juries

Dislikes

The hostel facilities can be improved and they are improving as we speak so it may not be a concern in a few months.
Ac in studios as it can be very humid in ahmedabad which leads to students having heatstrokes
The work stress can be a lot sometimes but it is totally worth it.

The admission process is very simple. you need to give the uceed exam, and apply in the cept portal. as and when your name comes on the list, they will personally email you the offer letter. the admissionis based on your rank. the rank is good, you can apply for merit scholarships too.

Likes

I liked the inclusive nature of the campus, with everyone being really open minded.
There is always something going on on campus- be it an exhibition, a cultural night, the band playing music or just a screening of a movie.
The faculty are very approachable and considerate.

Dislikes

It is a very high pressure institute with a lot of work demand. So, sometimes, a work life balance is missing.
There is little to no time to pursue extra curriculars.

Cept life

Admission:

The course I pursued is a bachelor's in the interior. But from now it's changed to a bachelor's in design which is a bigger window of the design field and it's eligible for all 12th-grade students from any stream. UCEED is compulsory for all design students. Application forms, fees, and dates its available on the Cept University website. All quota reservations like ST SC OBC is an available and 50 percent ACPC for Gujarat students. Cept is improving daily as cept has TLC members who take care of academics, and a student council who forward the problems from the GB to the cept council. And a lot of people manage campus curricula and management. The fees, it's high because of the infrastructure, full-time college, and the facility for the students. The new program bdes which is a bachelor in Design and communication design. I just finished the last year of my college it was a great experience and journey.

The student community is diverse, with students from all over India and the world. The diversity fosters a rich cultural exchange and creates an inclusive environment.
The university has an excellent support system for its students, including counseling services, medical facilities and a student welfare office.

Dislikes

There is need for equity in distribution of studio spaces, most of the campus is air conditioned but many of studio spaces doesn't share equal privileges, lack of transparency in allotment of spaces.

Admission:

For master in housing design eligibility specified on the CEPT admissions website, it is a bachelor of architecture with 55% per cent while for the reserved category, it is 50%. the application form is an online process, one has to visit the Cept admission portal and log in there, further follow the procedure. the admission process is very smooth and easy to follow.
