Faculty

Not all the faculties are friendly but few . And throughout my college duration only 2 of the faculty members were friendly to me . And the lectures offering style isn't appreciable. That was the overall my experience around the college

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for first year classes is 240000 Rs and for the second year is 238000 Rs . For the people from other categories fees may reduce upto 200000 Rs per annum. The facilities they offer for the fees collected is not worth.

Till now only 1 fest has been there , called Randavouz , which was a cultural fest , different singers like Sunidhi Chauhan came to perform. There were a lot of brands for promotions like puma , sketchers who were giving gift coupons. All classroom have projectors , and recording for online classes . Every department has club chapters to get out and socialise

Faculty

Professor to student ratio is around 20:1, they are very welcoming and help if we get any problem Till now in Civil Prof. Sahil Garg , Prof. Pawan pandey , Prof . Tabish are the best that I felt due to their good nature and teaching skills There is 1 minor , 1 major , 2-3 quiz that cover the whole syllabus very well

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose it coz I wanna be a software engineer . It doesn't matters from where u do but if u do from government college, probably your chance might get increased. Faculty are so so awesome . They never feel tired .they just put his/her efforts as maximum they can do in a period of semester. Student ratio is less but we are happy for whatever we got.Teacher are very good. There are two exams mid term and end term exams conducted where the final result is the average of mid and end term. They are not that much hard if someone has study well.

Campus Life

Life is pretty good . There is fun like we can play a lot , roam around the campus and outside , hiking at a near by hill which is awesome. Books are very good . U can find good materials book there for a particular duration . But u can issue them again if u want (max-5 books).Inter college competition also conducted where the students participates and win good prizes.

Course Curriculum Overview

The best thing about the college is the course itself. The course consists of deeper knowledge of the subject chosen from the first semester itself. Academics consists of the best syllabus that can be covered by any college so far. Rather than teaching out of stream subjects in first (many colleges do teach), IIIT Kota directly jumps into the core branch of CSE/ECE. Faculties are also very supportive and will not make you feel uncomfortable while solving the doubts. Also, the faculties are very consistent in their teaching (some people think the college faculties are not teaching well but it is not the case here).

Remarks

The reason I choose the college was the accessibility of the college from my home and even the accessibility of college to every other basic services. Not only this, the college has decent placement statistics and valuable core teaching syllabus. The college website is iiitkota.ac.in where one can find almost everything. The College has one of the best spot in Jaipur and a student will not face any hostel or access related issues. Detailed placement statistics can be found on the website mentioned. Overall, it is the one of the best college if you appeared in JEE Mains and secured 20k-30k rank in General Category.

Course Curriculum Overview

All the faculties here are Ph.D Qualified and have got their qualifications from institutions of Repute. The Flexible Credit System here allows students to complete degree requirements early and hence, students may devote the remaining time of the degree in gaining industry experience through year long internships, etc. The Faculties Teachings are pretty much similar to what it offers in other government colleges. Faculties are open to help if you want, however if you don't interact with them, the result may be on the other side.

Remarks

Since the Institute was Local for me and was in a growing stage then. As of now, Institute offers great exposure to students admitting over here. Also, the curriculum at the Institute is way more ahead and relevant to industry as compared to other institutes like NITs, etc. which makes students here industry ready. The Flexible Credit System and Semester Internship Programme provides great value addition to the students careers.

Campus Life

I really enjoyed my college life, which I'm missing a lot due to this lockdown situation. I'm from north India, so getting in IIIT Sri city gave me an opportunity to know and learn about the culture of south India. I travelled a lot and ate the local food there. ISRO is also nearby so, you can see every rocket launch from the college itself. You can even book a seat for a closeup look on their website. The club culture is well established over here. There is a selection process on the annual basis for the responsible positions in the club. There are a lot of clubs and societies you can join based on your interest. There is Foreign language club, Sports, Music, Cultural(Meraki), Photography(F-Stops), Competitive programming(Gradient), AI, Cybersecurity and Development club(IOTA).

Remarks

I found that the faculties here have good educational background. Also there is a club culture for various kind of fields, like there are clubs for Cybersecurity, AI, Development, Competitive programming, Music, Sports, Cultural and photography club. There is also a good environment of the south culture vibe and I got the perfect opportunity to explore and learn at the same time. So these are the factors that led to lock my seat for this college.

Ques. How are the hostel and other amenities in the IIT BHU for M.Tech students?

● Top Answer By Aarjav Jain on 02 Mar 24

Ans. M.Tech students (boys) of IIT BHU are allotted Aryabhatta Hostel I (Block A&B) and II (Block C&D). It is a three story building that contains a large common room with TV, and a large dining hall. The hostel mess serves decent quality food. The hostel rooms are quite spacious, and they are two seaters. But whenever there’s a shortage of rooms, three students are allotted for each room, instead of two. But even then, there’s ample space for each occupant. Each block has a garden. The washrooms are cleaned every afternoon, and are equipped with handwash and geysers. The two hostel canteens have all the basic items (including the basic food items), and their timings are 1:30PM-3AM and 7AM-10PM. On each floor, in each block, hot and cold purified water is available in the coolers. Each occupant is given a wooden cot, a table and a chair, and each room contains two cupboards. Decent wifi facilities are made available. The hostel celebrates every major festival with enthusiasm. Overall, the M.Tech hostel at IIT BHU is quite decent.Read more

Ques. How is the M.Tech (civil branch) at NIT Patna if the ESE and GATE preparation is the primary concern?

● Top Answer By Sagar Dikshit on 01 Sept 23

Ans. One of my friends has completed his BTech from NIT Patna. I have an idea about the academic environment and placement opportunities at NIT Patna.  MTech program has a relatively light workload giving you enough time for other things. The academic opportunities are limited for MTech students but plenty for BTech students.  Faculty comprises friendly and learned professors. However, you will have to resort to self-study at some point.  The NIT tag helps you in the initial stages of your career.  Overall, completing MTech from NIT Patna might offer excellent opportunities. The government of India also encouraged the researchers by its schemes directly from NITs. You can also opt for academia and become a teacher or start working in a PSU. The institute will provide you with enough time and opportunities for civil services or IES, Read more
