An Inside View of IIIT Nagpur

Since the Institute was Local for me and was in a growing stage then. As of now, Institute offers great exposure to students admitting over here. Also, the curriculum at the Institute is way more ahead and relevant to industry as compared to other institutes like NITs, etc. which makes students here industry ready. The Flexible Credit System and Semester Internship Programme provides great value addition to the students careers.

All the faculties here are Ph.D Qualified and have got their qualifications from institutions of Repute. The Flexible Credit System here allows students to complete degree requirements early and hence, students may devote the remaining time of the degree in gaining industry experience through year long internships, etc. The Faculties Teachings are pretty much similar to what it offers in other government colleges. Faculties are open to help if you want, however if you don't interact with them, the result may be on the other side.

I am currently working as an Special Class Educator on the renowned EdTech Platform UNACADEMY. Have been working over there since about last 1 Year and have been doing great over there. The institute faculties do provide needed support so that I can balance my Internship as well as academic curriculum. My Current Stipend is INR. 42,000 along with variable incentives.

Students are made to be industry ready by the latest trends in technology and curriculum. Many students have been doing internships in tech giants like Goldman Sachs, Tata Research, Juspay, Siemens Healthineers, Ericsson, DRDO, etc. Few students have even secured research internships in foreign universities like National University Singapore, etc.

Scholarships are provided to students by the respective home state governments. Rest, institute offers a single scholarship to General Category students offered by Central Government on Merit cum Means basis.

The Institute has recently shifted go its permanent campus at Waranga Village which is about 15- 20kms from Nagpur City. The New campus hasn't been used by the current students as of now due to current pandemic situation but the images sent to the students by the Administration define that it would really be a great stay for students at IIIT Nagpur.
