What Students Say

Likes

The Placements are pretty attractive. The avg package for the cse section was 15 lpa for the academic session 24 - 2025 while the median was 12lpa for the cse section
The college has a lush green campus and it feels too good to be here
Mostly All the professors are Phd holders from well known institues all over the globe

Dislikes

The college currently dosent has enough hostel rooms available for all students
Though the mess food is good, its not the best

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is good, still not the best, as it still contains subjects like applied sciences and electrical engineering elements, which are at a point irrelevant for cse students The curriculum still has C programmig langugage instead of cpp

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunites are avaliable for the 3rd year students,many tech/ dev /startups / finance related companies some to the campus for on campus internship selections The Stipends range from 15k per month to 2 lacs per month

Placement Experience

Students get internships in the 3 year and placements in the fourth semester the avg package for the cse branch is 15 lpa while the median package is 12 lpa the highest package offered was 60 lpa and the placement percentage is neary 90%

Fees and Financial Aid

All Inclusive Fees ( Except hostel and mess) are listed below first year fees - 246300 second year fees - 228000 third year fess - 228000 fourth year fees - 229000 Yes the fees, increase by some amount every year All the State Scholarishps and the national scholarships are available, but no scholarship for a general candidate

Campus Life

IIIT Nagpur has three big fests Abhivyakti - The annual Cultural fest held in February Tantrafesta - The annual Technical Fest held in october Kshitij - The sports fest The classroms and labs are all well equiped with proper infrastrusture The college has many culutural as well as tenchical clubs

Hostel Facilities

As the college only has a single hostel building,it is not sufficinet for all the students, so some students have to stay outside the campus The college has approved a private hostel, namely dia hostel

Hostel Fee: INR 163000 per year

Admission

I personally live in Mumbai so i wanted to get a college close to my home, and iiit nagpur was the closest i was getting at my rank in jee mains The admission to B.Tech programmes as centralised and controlled by JoSSA and CSAB

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is about 1: 30 The best faculty i feel here is Dr. Amit who teaches CP ( Computer Programming ) as he teaches everything from basics. There are a mid sem and a end sem exam in a semester

Night Life

The College has a night canteen which is open till 2 am, The College currently only has a single 10 storeyed hostel The Girls stay at the first florr while the boys occupy the floors 2 - 10 The environment is pretty safe here

REAL INSIGHTS OF RIZVI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

Course Curriculum Overview:

As this college is under mumbai university so this college cannot modify syallbus in their own the have to strictly follow the university prescribe syallbus,academic timelines,rules and norms of the mumbai university. I have taken the admission in this college in the year 2024 from this year the NEP-2020 was adopted by the every indian universities and instituites. Since NEP-2020 was adopted also by mumbai university some new subjects are added to the syallabus that are oriented to financial literacy,Entreprenuianl,indian laws related subjects the syallubus of this subject is very good to see in the syallabus pdf. But the ground reality is different this subject is not given much importance by faculties the are treated as not much important subject as their are not related to our course as a result the students also take these subjects lightly.Also the professors appointed for this subjects are not much good they appoint the faculties who are recent graduates of their college who are working now as a professor in the same college. The college treat this subject lectures as an practice for the fresh faculties to gain experience of how to teach students. The core subject syallbus is same not changed the mumbai university has just changed the name of the subject. The college professors just teach the subject but they do not teach in that way that it makes us ready for real world problems.And also in the first year all the subjects are common for all the branches of the engineering which consist of subject like physics,chemistry,mechanics,Basic electrical Electronics,Engineering Graphics. It is my opinion why should an student who is studying an course called Computer Engineering so why should i read the subjects of the other branches like civil,mechanical,electrical and electronics in my first year instead of my domain subjects for whole two semester and the timespan of almost an year

The placements offered by my college are outstanding compared to other colleges in my area. Almost all students become eligible for campus placements in the 7th semester. Big tech companies like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and IBM visit the campus for recruitment. Major tech companies such as TCS, Infosys, and Capgemini hire in bulk from this college. Other non-tech companies like JCB, Tata Hitachi, and railway companies also visit the campus for core branches. Approximately 90% of students get placed in this college according to their skills. My plan after completing my degree is to get a job in a top company like Google, Microsoft, IBM, or NVIDIA and settle abroad with a luxurious life permanently.

Placement Experience:

Placements of the college are good . They are incerasing year by year . As now college is made autonomous placement is also good in the college. Companies like TCS , CAPEGEMINI, like such big companies are also coming to college . as such college have developed the placement ratio . the higest package offered in the college was last year it was 18 lakhs . average pacakages offered in the college is betweeen 3 to 7 lakhs . but the students are geeting placed from college. Near about 70 to 80 percentage of the students are getting placed every year.

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students get eligible for placemnets and from 4th semester students get eligible for internships. Dell, Oracle Tcs and many more such companies have visited the college The highest package is 50 lpa for MCA in computer science while the highest for B.TECH CSE is 44.14 lpa. Many good companies such as J.P. Morgan and Goldmann sachs have also come here for placements. The average package is 6lpa. Approximately from Computer science across 70 to 80 percent students are getting placed every year. After my B.tech Degree I would be pursuing my Masters degree from abroad.

My views about IIIT-Nagpur

I majorly selected this collage and VNIT(metalurgy course ) as a backup, i got ther ECE-Iot in last CSAB round . VNIT have lots of better featurs like grounds , Events which a a lot better than iiitN. i kept the ECE-Iot above VNIT metalurgy thats why i got it , and i didnt fill any other things which i could have got.
