IIIT Nagpur- Real Talk

Our curriculum is nice on paper. In practicality, the level of most of our professors does not match and they are quite inexperienced. We deal with all the important technologies, softwares that are relevant in today's world although there is a long way to go. Areas of Improvement- Better Faculty , More experienced Faculty Three exams per semester is a waste of student's time.

SMS Datatech- 40000 Japenese Yen (only for CSE branch students) Placewit- Rs 40K to 10k depending on the role. SLB-30k+ accommodation These are the companies that have visited for 2026 passout batch till yet. More companies will visit by 6th Semester. They usually have CGPA based cutoffs.

I guess from 7th Semester , students get eligible to sit for placements, From 5th semester, companies start visiting for internship roles. Placewit, SLB, SMS DataTech (Japan) are the three companies that have come for my batch to provide internship roles. Highest Package till date has been 86LPA which was offcampus. Average Package is around 12 to 13 Lakhs. We are unaware of the real placement stats. Overall Placement (including oncampus and offcampus should be 60% i guess) My plans is to find job.

Abhivyakti- Cultural Fest , TantraFiesta-Tech Fest, Kshitij- Inter IIIT Sports Fest The library is quite small for our college. It is just one small room. It has all the books required for the curriculum. Apart from that I think it is inadequate for an avid reader. Classrooms are modern and new, we have centralised AC. We have a running Gym (seperate for girls and boys). A playground is being prepared and it will be ready for the next batch (2025 admission onwards) We have many clubs and all have some activity going on. Taraxia, CRISPR are two examples.

Meal quality-Average Mess Menu changes every month. Since our college does not have sufficient space for the entire strength of our college. There is a first come first serve rule as far as hostels accommodation is concerned. We have 2 seaters and 4 seater options. Not everyone gets college provided hostels. You can rent rooms in Butibori (which is 2kms away) .

BITS Pilani, LNMIIT, JAYPEE-NOIDA. Chose this college as this was government affiliated and had comparatively less fees. I only applied to those colleges where my admission was sure-shot. Jee-Mains is the route to get admission in our college and then sit for JOSAA counselling.

Faculty to Student Ratio is Okay. We have sufficient faculties to cater to the strength of students in college. Dr.Tapan Jain, Amol Bhopale Sir, Dr.Richa Makhijani are some of the best faculties of college. There are 3 exams every semester- Sessional 1 , Sessional 2 and End-Semester. Exams are pretty hard and all the time you have to spend for preparing for exams.

Yes we have two gym ( one for boys, one for girls) . One small library which is inadequate considering the strength of our college. Campus timing vary depending on your seniority in college. Usually its 9PM for boys of the college. One biggest con of this college- is that it has no hangout spots outside hostel. The campus feels quite dead. There is an Open Audi buts hardly anyone goes there.
