Likes

The infrastructure, the college is well built at apt location. All mess hostels are inside the campus.
The activities, college fest, the vibe. Its a dream college for many.

Dislikes

The long class hours. Sometimes it ll be 2-3 gours classes withouth break.
Old classes should be renovated. Some classes in old building

Course Curriculum Overview

Very effective, the course was revised a year back when i joined. So it was up to date. Yes it helps us to deal with real world, so many things i learnt are resonating with my job now. Specialy the labs, where sir taught about the documents the construction companies posses and how they are used. There were exams every 2 months.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

My total course fee was 2 lakhs. There was a scholorship for the students who passed GATE. Other caste based scholarships are there too. There will be stipend on any internship programmes from the college.

Campus Life

There are so many fests, MIT has revels and KMC has revere. They are mostly in the month of jan to march. The library is top notch, strict & and resourcefull. Classroom has e board, laptop can be connected, ac, speakers are all good. Sports activities take place regularly. Many techinical clubs, which push students to do better and have better knowlegde. Cultural clubs music clubs colaborate within or with outside talents during fests.

Admission

My course is Construction Engineering & management. Its in civil departement. I applied online, for MET and got AIR 280 and in civil department i got 80 rank. So there basically two more pg courses namely structural & environment. As my rank was good enough, i dint have any difficulty for choosing my course. No reservation for me so i have no idea about that. The process is pretty good and quick.

Faculty

In my civil department there was a good faculty to student ratio. I am not aware of otger departments. All the staff were either PHD holders or trying to get one. Thorough knowledge. The interactions were very peacefull. We could ask them anything anytime. Always helpfull.

Life at MIT Manipal, MTECH Automobile Engineering

Placement Experience:

For MTech students, first year consists of two semesters. From the second year, internship opportunities and companies start to come in the campus. So mostly if you get internship, it'll get converted into full time jobs upon your performance. End year placements also happens but it's quite dicey. So if you want to grab the opportunity then internship is the thing. Apart from internship there are PHD options as well as 1+1 program.

An Enjoyable College

Remarks:

The best college in city center to be a part of. The fests and the campus is always enjoyable. The buildings are a bit old but will definitely love the feel of the campus. The college management is very understanding to the students needs and comforts.
