GATE(Mechanical), Rank-2950. Only NIT that offers a course on mechatronics. Also placements are very good in the college. College is listed in the top 10 colleges in india.

Volvo, Mercedes, Bosch, GE, Moog, GM, CAE offered internships. Internship duration can vary between 6 months and 1 year. General Stipend was around 20000 per month.

Around 150 companies came in total. Salary Packages varied from 24 lpa to 5 lpa.IT companies offer around 10-24 lpa and core companies offer in between 5-10 lpa.

Incident is the annual cultural fest which is considered one of the best in the country. Engineer is the techfest. Every month there will be some cultural events organised in the college.

For Mtech courses, You will get GATE stipend of 12400 per month which is more than enough for living inside the campus. I feel that the fees structure is feasible considering the amenities that they provide inside the campus.

Campus life is very good in NITK. You will find atleast one cultural event every month. OAT(Open Air theatre) inside the campus hosts the programs. Tech talks are organised in the seminar hall every now and then where faculties from eminent institutions will give there lectures.

Alumni network is very good and they are the ones who are supporting for internship and job opportunities. Even for helps in studies, we were uased to contact the alumni and they proved to be very helpful.

Continous evaluation scheme is followed here. So it doesnt matter if you have performed well in the end exams, but your overall performance during the entire course will be valued.

Most of the Faculties are Experienced Faculties who are IIT Alumni's. They are very helpful and and always ready to clear any doubts during and after the class hours. Even they provide us with references and contacts will lecturers of other colleges like IIT's if required.
