Remarks

It was good time where we could learn lot of stuff. We had very good stuff who helped us to grow in vlsi College also helped us to get projects and placements.

PGCET, got a ranking of 7000, based on placement review of RNSIT, took this college, also this college had good facility for teaching and placement training.

Internships Opportunities

Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Microsoft and other companies come to college. There are more then 20 companies which came to college internship was not there. We tried it our self and got outside with the name of college.

College Events

Every events and half yearly events, There are sports - cricket, Football, Basket ball and others indoor games played. For events like - Fashion show and dance and acting.

Fees we had to pay based of vtu rules book, College fees was 10k extra for additional changes like placement and other stuff.

Its university rules to have internals - 3 and exams in the half early we have semester wise exams and it will be for 600 marks.

Faculty

They had good Lab and they also had good teaching stuff, training and placement - there is separate group of ppl who actively monitor the placement activities.

A mini heaven on earth called NITK

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Mtech Thermal Engineering because I was interested in thermal subjects like Fluid mechanics, Heat transfer, CFD. The Curriculum is pretty decent and it does covers the fundamentals and advanced topics of the particular subject but it could be better in terms of imparting practical and industrial knowledge. The exams that are held in NITK are competitive and requires a good understanding of the subject. You simply cannot cram and get good marks in exam. You have to know the proper implementation of that particular formula or theory.
