IIT Delhi Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

You can sit placement in the final year of your course. Many companies came here. and almost this year 60+ students got a 1cr+ CTC package. 22 students are hired by graviton company in Gurgaon. The highest package was almost 2 CRore. Almost everyone who sit in placement get placed.

I don't think that placement should be the topic of discussion as the college is popular of its high placement offers. The college maintains a record of 100% placements. The highest placement offer of the college goes up to 2 CPA and the college average salary offer is around 25 LPA. The placement cell of the college is full of experienced faculty members and they have very good industrial experiences which help them to train us for the placement process and interview rounds.

I choose mechanical engineering because I have quite interested in machine and spear parts, and wanna explore that. Iitd has good faculty strength. There are around 10k students in iitd and around 1k professor and 2k around teaching assistant. The teaching method is quite advanced as we have all methods for studying. There were 3 exams minor 1, minor 2, and majors( finals).

I was impressed by the internship opportunity and the job opportunity I got on campus. The highest salary package offered was Rs.32 LPA and the average salary of Rs. 18.47 LPA was offered in our final placement program. The recruiters who participated in the final campus recruitment were Accenture Strategy, Amazon, HDFC Bank, IBM, EY, KPMG, Jindal Steel and power, Amway, etc. We got the offer of internship opportunities from some famous recruiters like KPMG, Boston Scientific, Bosch, Practo, Juspay, Halma, 1 mg, etc.

The highest package offered was 1.2 crore per annum and the average package was 15 lakh per annum. The placement statistics at IIT Delhi have been consistently rising from the past decades. 650+ job profiles were rolled out and the students successfully bagged 400 job offers. Some even got a PPO at the time of their summer internship during the mid-semester. It also included international selections from countries like Japan, Taiwan, the Middle East, Singapore, and South Korea. Recruiters include Tata Projects, Microsoft, Intel, Oracle, EXL Services, Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, ICICI Bank, HCL, and IQVIA. The majority of the job profiles were for the core and IT sector, Students involved in projects and internships earlier were given a preference over those who had plain academics in their profile. The interview questions during the placement also revolved around the soft skills of a candidate and practical experience.

About 85% of the mechanical students get placed during the placement time. The average package of mechanical students placement is 10LPA. Most students get placed at the end of their 7th semester. My plan after my degree is to pursue Indian Engineering Services. This year's highest package was around 1Cr P.A.

Placement opportunities are huge. Top firms hire students from here. Internship opportunities are avaialble for all the years (paid as well as unpaid). There are companies which provide more than 1 cr. package and hire students.

80% of the students got placed in my batch in some great companies. Highest CTC went to Rs. 1 CPA and around 430 recruiters participated in the placement week. 600+ job profiles were offered to deserving candidates. Top recruiters of the week were Microsoft, Mastercard, Societe Generale, Uber, Denso Japan, TSMC Taiwan, HCL, Flipkart, C-Dot, EXL, IBM, Qualcomm among many others.

Those students who sit in the placement process get placed. Almost 90% of students are placed in my branch and the rest are going for higher studies or master degrees. The average package is about 16LPA. The highest package perhaps 20LPA.
