Admission was made through JEE- advanced examination. Information regarding the application was on the official JEE-ADVANCED site. The brochure gave the information about the reservation. After the result was declared, in the counselling process which is done by JOSAA, we have to fill the choices of colleges and desired branches. After each round of counselling, the opening rank and the closing rank was displayed on the JOSAA site.

The course curriculum of Mechanical Engineering is a bit hard as it comprises designing and working the machine. The faculty members are very supportive and ready to help in every situation. Most of the professors are PHD scholars. Term exams were always on time, and a specific time for preparation was given. It is a bit difficult to pass the exams as some of the papers are tough

Internships are provided to the students in their 3rd year. OCS handles the process of internships given by the company, and many students sometimes do a research internship under a professor. Many companies visit the campus for the recruitment of interns. Companies provide internships in many domains like finance, analyst, core, information technology and many more.

About 85% of the mechanical students get placed during the placement time. The average package of mechanical students placement is 10LPA. Most students get placed at the end of their 7th semester. My plan after my degree is to pursue Indian Engineering Services. This year's highest package was around 1Cr P.A.

The fees structure is very well organized, Fees is 112650 per semester, in which 1L is the tuition fee and the rest amount is charges for hostel and other facilities. There is no fees hike policy. There are many scholarships available for the students like Catalyst(for 1st-year girls), ONGC scholarship for SC/ST students, one Himalayan, Miss Pushpa Singh Scholarship (50k for 1st-year UG girls in Mechanical and Computational branches. B.S. Hajela Memorial Scholarship(for 1st-year UG students with CGPA>=7.5). If one performs excellently well in academics, they get an internship in their 2nd-year also.

The campus life of IIT Delhi is awesome, We have a cultural fest named Rendevous which is Asia's 2nd largest cultural fest and many other fests like Tryst, Kaizen are also conducted. Social Life of campus is on a different level, we have many food outlets which works till 4 am in the night, so in the exam times, one can destress at any of these outlets and can make the hunger gone. Many cultural and technical clubs are there in the college. Cultural clubs like- drama, dance, music etc and Technical clubs like- Formula racing, robotics, aeromodelling and many more. In LIbrary we have hundreds of books and Journals. Our Classes are fully air-conditioned and are well ventilated. We have smart classrooms and from each corner of the class, the professor and black-board is clearly visible In sports, we have majorly all sports like- cricket, football, hockey, squash, badminton, swimming pool, basketball, lawn tennis, etc There are some funny social groups which are run by students.

In the allotted room, we are provided with a table, chair and a bed. Common washrooms are there, which are cleaned from time to time. And we have a common mess which serves us a good quality food three times a day. Its menu includes different varieties of food like south Indian, Chinese, etc. Hostels are randomly allotted to us by the institute and on the arrival at the hostel, from the options available, we choose our rooms. The hostel mess fee is 25000 per semester and the hostel seat charge is 12650 per semester. We have a shop inside our hostel which sells items of daily needs, stationary, etc.
