The placements in IIT-D are the best in the country. IITD ranks the best in the employability category. I chose IIT Delhi above any other smaller IIT because I want a higher degree of exposure here, and there are enough professors and a good teacher-to-student ratio. The tests here are quite challenging, and passing them requires at least one week of diligent preparation. The professors are really highly qualified.

From the end of the 7th Semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies visited during the placement drive such as Microsoft, Google, Samsung, Jane Street, etc. About 800-1000 offers were made. The highest offer of 4 CR was made by Jane Street. The average package ranges from 20 to 25 LPA. About 92% of the last batch was placed. The remaining students chose off-campus placements or opted for higher studies.
