Course Curriculum Overview
IIT Delhi is ranked among the top 50 engineering colleges in the world by QS SUBJECTWISE rankings. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:4. All professors are Ph.D. holders from IITs or reputed universities abroad. There are Mid Semester, End Semester, and quizzes in examinations. The difficulty level of these examinations is comparable to JEE Advanced.
Internships Opportunities
Office of Career Services looks after the internship processes. Internships are provided at Google, Microsoft, Samsung, etc. Stipend averages INR 50,0000. Web developer, consultant, product and executive manager, and other roles are offered under internships.
Placement Experience
From the end of the 7th Semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies visited during the placement drive such as Microsoft, Google, Samsung, Jane Street, etc. About 800-1000 offers were made. The highest offer of 4 CR was made by Jane Street. The average package ranges from 20 to 25 LPA. About 92% of the last batch was placed. The remaining students chose off-campus placements or opted for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total cost of 4 Years B Tech including tuition, hostel, mess, and admission fees is INR 15 lakhs. There are no sudden fee hikes. There are many scholarships available such as those on the NSP portal, Kotak, MPSFER, Batch 1983 Scholarships, and many other scholarships available for meritorious students.
Campus Life
All reference books required for the course are available in the library. We have completely air-conditioned and elegantly designed classrooms. We have Mittal Sports Complex which has facilities for various sports and games. There are many clubs and boards like Dance, Music, Quizzing, Debating, Dramatics, Design, Physics and Astronomy, Economics, Entrepreneurship, etc.
Hostel Facilities
BTech boys hostel rooms do not have ACs but girls hostels have. Mess food is good and definitely not like most people would think of mess food to be. During registrations and after JOSAA counselling there is an option to avail hostel facility. Hostel fees are INR 25000 per year.
Admission
Candidates need to qualify for JEE Main and JEE Advanced and feature in the top ranks to get admission to IIT Delhi B Tech. Forms will be found on the official websites of NTA and JEE Apex Board. Application fees for JEE Advanced is 2800 INR.
Interview Experience
JEE Advanced includes most topics of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of Classes XI and XII. 75% in Class 12 is mandatory. Only two attempts in two consecutive years after Class 12 Board Examinations are allowed.
