Students become eligible for campus placements in the 4th year only not before it but they can get PPO through some companies. There were over 300 companies and almost 1500 offers in the year 2020-21 with 51 lac per annum as the highest package by atlassain and 12 lac per annum as the average package.
7 th semester people become eligible for placements.
The highest package is 46 lakhs and average is aroud 6.5 lakhs 60-65% students placed. My plan is to get a job in analyst role after degree in too a big product based company and grow myself
DTU is popular and known for its campus placements that's why students choose this college/university. It is one of the best engineering colleges in terms of placement. At my time mostly students from the cs/it branch got placed earlier in the season but in the last sem because of the corona, companies not visiting the college for placements.
Students are elligible to sit for interships in the fifth semester and for regular placements from the seventh semester. We have a lot of big names visiting the college for placements including Amazon, Qualcomm, etc. Highest on campus package goes to around 40L afaik and average placements are around 8L across profiles. Almost all the students who are interested in getting a placement get placed. I'm planning to work in the job i got in the campus placement.
As i mentioned before placement is one of the best parts, TnP works very hard to get students placed, from start-ups to MNCs all the big names visit campus in various roles. sincere students get hefty packages as well. some of the companies provide 20 lkh+ CTC.

The placements begin from 7th semester and continue till 8th semester. The college visited by a lot of companies during these two semesters. If you wish to be on the software side for jobs and happen to be in a software related branch the placement is fairly easy to get. However placements for core branches like mechanical, civil, electrical are limited. The placement percentage is fairly good with and 80% rate. Highest packages can go upto 30-40 lacs and the average is around 7 lacs.
After fourth semester students gets eligible for oncampus paid internships. And in seventh sem they get eligible for placements.
Lot of companies from every sector visit campus. for SDE roles average package is 12 lpa, for core roles avg package is 6lpa and for non tech roles avg. package is 8 lpa. almost every eligible student gets placement.
Placements are top notch and maybe the best part of the college. Even For off campus placements colleges provide a considerable brand value but other than that students from the 6th sem are eligible for campus internships. The highest package offered was around 55 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed depends upon the branch.

Basically I'm from non-technical branch so I prepare for non-technical placement in University. DTUs is best place for get placement in non-technical branch.
