Courses and faculty - course are interesting and faculty is very enthusiastic and have great knowledge and have helping nature polite
Scholarships like merit-cum-means and institute free studentship are available based on merit and financial need.
Iit guwahati is renowned not only for its academic excellence but also for the picturesque beauty for its campus, making it one the most aesthetically pleasing educational instituitions in india.

Dislikes

Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

Reality of IIT Guwahati

Likes

Campus Life is good. There is many place to roam around.
College has a personalised app and there is a hospital inside campus.
College has good placement rate and past records are pretty good.

Dislikes

College academics are hard. Frequency of exam is high.
Food quality in mess is very average. Many of students din not do lunch.
Students are not free to go outside of campus.

Placement Experience:

You become eligible for placement from 6th semester end. Many companies are hiring. 81.7% placement have done till now this year and till placement is going on. My current plan is to sit for placement and doing job.

The opportunity to go for extracurricular activities
Clubs , fests and multiple events keep you involved
The infrastructure is quite good and the entire campus is mesmerizing

Dislikes

Very hectic academic schedule with less breaks.
The quality of food provided in the mess is quite bad

Placements of the college are decent to good.Many big tech companies like Microsoft, Google, etc visit the campus for placements. The average package lies somewhere around 18 lakhs and around 70-80% students get placed every year.

People actually say that once you get into an IIT your life is set but that's not true its real hard here after coming here first you meet so many people and see how many different kinds are there then you want to go home but eventually you will find someone who match your vibe .

If you love Chemistry then CST is one of the best branch in iitg, it cover all the major domains of chemistry from industrial chemistry to drug chemistry to quantum. Course curriculum is pretty chill, you just have to focus on classes.

Library is good and have many books that can be read
IIT Guwahati offers hostel facilities that are an integral part of the campus life.
Clubs are good and we have many active clubs ed coding,consulting and many more

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old and need to be maintained
Gym is to old and require many equipment
Sports facilities must be increased and nearness to city

My wonderful experience at IIT Guwahati.

Likes

The overall infrastructure of the college.
Natural beauty of the college. The vibe around here.
Professors are really qualified and know what they teach.

Dislikes

Academic pressure is way to much on the students.
Campus is way to far from the city hindering our city life and exposure.
Mess food is not upto the mark and you will get bored eventually.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quite comprehensive and relevant. However it required strong fundamental knowledge of basic electronics and physics. But don't worry, the course will be taught from the very beginning. The labs are also quite interesting and it really develops a sense of interest towards labs.

Students are eligible for campus placements generally from the 7th semester although internships start from the 4th semester onwards. our department showed the highest placement of 80 lakhs and and avg placement of 22 lakhs.

To be eligible for admission to M.Tech programs, you need to have graduated in B.Tech with 60% or M.Sc/AMIETE degree then appear for GATE entrance test.
