Chemical Science and Technology is a great choice for those who have a genuine interest in the subject of Chemistry. It comprises inorganic, organic, and other aspects. Personal Experience at IIT Guwahati

Exams are quite often here , which makes the academic hectic and time consuming.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Per sem tution fee is 100000, and hostel fee per sem is 43200(including all extra charges like medical fee, fest fund). So this makes the tution fee per year as 200000, and hostel fee as 86400(including all extra charges). Scholarships : For annual family income less than 100000, there is no tution fee charged. Also if it is between 100000 and 500000, then 66% is wavied, i.e only 33333 per sem tution fee is charged. There are other scholarships like mcm , ncp etc.

IIT Guwahati life

The college fees is 1 l lakh/semester for normal student and 30 percent for the student with income below 5 lakhs , the tuition fees is about 1lakh and mess fees is 20000 per semester and hostel fees is about 5 thousand there is hospital charge for hospital facilities inside campus that is 1000/sem so in total it is about 1,32000 for a normal student . People with less than 5 lakhs income will pay 1/3 of the tution fees. Girls will have scholarships on first year for their college fees.

Glimpse of IIT Guwahati

The lectures are scheduled too early and there are 18 lectures a week , which is very stressfull

I am paying 114000 per year. Tution fee is 66000 , caution fee is 12000, registration fee is 1000, admission fee is 1500 , development fee is 2000 , lab fees is 5000 rupees , hostel fee is 7000, Medical fee is 1900. My batchmates are paying around 248000 per year . There are two types of scholarships avail in college 1.IMS , given to branch topper every year , tution fees got waiver and stipend got paid 2.SC ST scholarship, given to every sc st student, only hostel fee are going to charge 3. McM scholarship , given to top 25 percent sc st student of college, stipend got paid

For me tution fee is free. I only have to pay for hostel and other activities. Yeah many scholarship are there student can apply. I don't have much idea about scholarship. Fees are fixed, before semester starts we have to pay for it

Tuition fee of all branches is same i.e 2lacs a year and it is constant from 2017. There are financial scholarship too based on your economics background and academic performance in a particular year. .

IIT GUWAHATI -THE NATURAL BEAUTY

The fee structure is 1 lakh per semester. They provide various waivers for economically weaker sections of people. They give MEB / OEB to the students which benefits students greatly. They provide stipends for MTech and PhD students. BTech students have various opportunities in different fields like finance, tech, sports, management, consultancy, etc. BTech students can explore themselves in all these fields.

The fees over four years is around 10.64 lakhs. There is MCM scholarship for SC/ST category students. There is a seperate scholarship for female students. There is a fee waiver and a stipend for branch toppers as well.

The overall fee for a general candidate is approximately 11 lakhs for a btech programme. Huge fee waivers are available for reserved caste students. Campus jobs are limited but you can earn through internships that come in 2nd year, and majorly in 3rd year. I have got no job as of now.

We have our overall fees of 2 lakh per year with 1 lakh tuition fees. However, if your family income is below 1 lakh per annum then you will get a 100% fee waiver on tuition fees. If your family income is b/w 1 to 5 lakh per annum then you will get a 67% fee waiver on tuition fees.
