Likes

Beautiful campus with stunning flowers and tress full of nature vibe 😍. College provide us with all facilities like excellent sports, education, highly researchable, having fest to have a fun between our academics.
Well maintained hostels, have central library as well as hostel library and department library too which full of collection of books, journals and digital resources like computer.

Dislikes

Many proffesor are rude. They always demotivate you and make you feel that you e nothing.

Course Curriculum Overview

Being honest, I didn't have intrest in chemical but according to my rank I get only this branch and hopefully a beautiful campus loads of nature and beauty. IIT GUWAHATI have updated curriculum even student can choose minor course according to their intrest. Have many research field and project which help student get some experience and up skill. Exam level are tough, we have surprise quiz along with mid sem and end sem exam.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 62000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Big companies come like Google, Accenture, goldman Sachs etc come and hired us. For both tech and non-tech company came. Mostly stipend offered 3lac for 2 month even it varies. Coding club gave some project to build up aur resume.

Placement Experience

Nowadays, placement scenario are very bad. Company came but didn't hired or if hired then they fired. Many company visit for internship as well as placement. From 7th semester, campany come for placement. Mostly student should be more than 7+ cgpa but still some camp any came for 6+cgpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

For me tution fee is free. I only have to pay for hostel and other activities. Yeah many scholarship are there student can apply. I don't have much idea about scholarship. Fees are fixed, before semester starts we have to pay for it

Campus Life

Many clubs are like coding club, aeromodeling club, dance club, xpression, octaves with all these we have fest like ALCHERINGA (biggest cultural fest of northeast), Techniche(technical fest) , spirit(sports fest)...

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is better and hygienic. Meal quality is also OK ok. Menu is fixed for a month and according to student feedback mess menu changes. During breakfast we have sprouts everyday.Hostel provided by admin side only.

Hostel Fee: INR 32000 per year

Admission

You have to qualify jee-advance exam. Firstly you have to qualify jee mail s after that you are eligible for jee-advance. For jee mains we have NTA. Yes, reservation benefits are available. Mains is of 3 hr but for advance we have 2 paper each of 3 hr with negative marks. I advance paper you have to qualify each subject.

Faculty

Faculty are very interactive and modern that some of them even don't touch tha board to taught they simply teach by the help of ipad. The faculty at IIT Guwahati includes many esteemed scholars and researchers who are leaders in their fields. Their expertise and mentorship significantly enhance the learning experience.Some faculty are so good but some are like just come taught and just left tha class no matter whether they understand or not.

Placement Experience:

The college holds a high placement rate with a significant percentage of Students security jobs before graduation. The college attracts reputed companies e.g. google ,microsoft , bajaj, oracle,barclays , grow ,etc. for campus placement including top multinational corporations and leading firms in various sectors . Total 164 offers were made by 59 companies during last academic year(2022-23). In addition, IIT Guwahati students have already received as many as 214 pre placement offers during the academic year 2023-24. The highest package this year is 2.05 crore per annum. Placement rate is 72%. My plan is to get a good pre placement offers before my graduation .

Placement Experience:

The placements in our college are very good. From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements . The unplaced students can go further studies like MS ,MTECH . The companies visited our college are atlassian ,Amazon,AWS ,optum, Myntra ,UBS ,Amadeus ,oracle ,sap labs ,mathworks ,Hpcl ,Bpcl,HUL, Goldman Sachs and many startups . The highest package offered by AWS 52 LPA.The average package is 10,00,000 to 12,00,000 for cse and it varies for different branches

After the completion of semester 6 students are eligible to sit for the internships provided by the campus and most of the international companies like google, Microsoft come and visit campus for placements till now the highest packed offered by the companies is around 2.4cr which is quite high and average package goes around 25 lakhs per annum and around 90? students gets placement

I have just completed my schooling. It's but obvious that studying somewhere else from your hometown is exciting. And so as soon as I got my results, I started searching for the colleges and found AIT. As per my research, the faculty over here implements practical strategies into your studies that really made me choose AIT. The admission process was very smooth. They asked for certain documents that I have submitted and then pretty much went simple. It was very smoothly conducted by the teachers and the student volunteers.

I applied to almost all the old IITs and got a seat in IIT Dhanbad, IIT BHU, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati. I chose IIT Guwahati over others because I got Engineering Physics there. I was always interested in Research and want to work in academia. IITG was established more as a research institute than an engineering institute so it was a pretty good choice for me. I didn't get a good branch in IITB, IITM and IITD so I chose IITG. The reason is obviously the jee rank. I didn't focused more on chemistry during JEE which lowered my rank a bit. For admission to IITG in Btech Engineering Physics the only way is IIT - JEE. For masters you can apply using your GATE or JAM score. During my admission it was covid lockdown so the whole process was completely online. After seat allotment, I accepted the seat and paid the counselling fee. Few days later I got a email from IITG regarding verification and uploaded the necessary documents. After verification I paid the admission fee and my admission got confirmed....Read More

I had cleared Jee and got admission to this college through josaa counselling. At first I was disappointed because I was hoping for more better college with good nirf rank but after spending some time in this college I felt that although my iit holds a 9 th nirf ranking in overall category still it gives good facilities more than the colleges those are above In the ranking list.
