Examination fee is 1000.Registration fee is 2000.gymkhana fee is 2000.Medical fee 2000.Hostel fund fee is 1200.Hostel rent is 2000.Electricity and water charges is 5000.Mess fees is 40000.Students brotherhood fund is 100.Academic facilities fees is 5000.Hostel maintaince charge is 6000.Students travel assistance fund is 100. For other categories tution fees only varies .it varies from 100000 to 200000.Scholarships are available for all categories like nsp,merit based etc.

The year wise fee I am paying is 64000/-.Zero tution fee as I'm under income proof of annual income less than one lakh.Actual Tution fee is 100000/- per year for other categories.There are some merit cum scholarships which is 1500/- per month

Academic and social life in IIT GUWAHATI

I am paying around 60,000 to 70,000 a semester and it depends and tution fees is mostly same for all the semesters and it is exactly 33333 i.e one third of my original tution fees and it is because of my category reason. Registration fees for every semester is 1000 rs. Examination fees for every semester is 500 rs. Medical fee is a bit different as per my knowledge cause i pay exactly 1900 rs in the first semester and now in the second semester i am going to pay only 100 rs.

Life At IIT Guwahati

THe total fees was 64000 per semeter for the B.Tech for OBC(non crearmy layer), which includes the tution fees which was 33000(for non creamy OBC students), examination fees 500 registration 1000 and gymkhanna fees which was 1000, the hostel rent was not costly was up to 1000, the mess fee was 18000 and apart from this there were several fees that includes laboratory charge, hostel maintenance charge

I paid 265000 yearly including tution and hosterl fees. Tution fees for the students with income more than 500000 is 200000. Tution fees for the student with income less than 100000 is zero. Tutin fees for the student with income more than 100000 and less than 300000 is 2/3rd of 200000. Tution fees for the students with income more than 300000 and less than 500000 is 1/3rd of 200000. Tution fees for sc and st students is free. Other fees are Examination fees 1000 Registratiion fess 2000 Gymkhana fees 1000 medical fees 1000 hostel admission fees 2000 electricity and water charges 6000 hostel rent 4000 mess advance 36000 library fees 2000 internet fees 2000.

Education was a little bit difficult for every course

There will be concession provided by the campus based on the category and family income. For OBC the fee was almost 180000 per annum including hostel mess etc.. And there will be many scholorship s for girls like kotak Kanya they will provide an education kit ,150000 amount,and a certificate,it was very helpful for us.

General Students with NO reservations: Tution fees 1 lakh per semester, Other fees: around 35000 per semester which includes folding lodging and everything. The only available scholarship is the IMS scholarship which waives off the tuition fees if the person stands 1st in the particular year in terms of YPI. For students with reservation: partial fees deduction based on Income status. For ST/SC students: NO tuition fees

a total of around 10,42,400 is required for the Btech degree here [without any aid or scholarships]. several aids and scholarships are also available for the eligible parties, the details of these are available on the official website. The campus offers research interns and technical assistant roles along with placement and internship opportunities

There are 2 semester in a year each of 1 lakh tution fee and around 40 thousand hostel fee which is pretty decent compared to other colleges. As such you cant earn directly in campus but if you are good at a skill u can do freelancing or go for any govt scholarship exams if u like.
