- Courses and faculty - course are interesting and faculty is very enthusiastic and have great knowledge and have helping nature polite
- Scholarships like merit-cum-means and institute free studentship are available based on merit and financial need.

- Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
- Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
- The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

- IITG's campus is on a sprawling 285 hectares plot of land on the north bank of the river Brahmaputra around 20 kms. from the heart of the city. With the majestic Brahmaputra on one side, and with hills and lakes on the other making it a great campus.
- The campus culture and atmosphere very open to ideas and open sharing with great student diversity making it a place for self upskilling improvising and enjoyment. The clubs and various activities add to the student culture of the campus
- Eaxh of the teaching departments ranging from faculty labs infrastructure and other essentials, IITG has all the opportunities for nurturing and research facilities solely dedicate to each ones department of interest making it an academic hub.
Dislikes
- The mess food not catering to all parts of Indian students especially the south when ot is being one of the biggest educational institute of India is a point requiring imprevisal.
- The climate especially for those in coastal areas could be a bit harsh due to extremes of cold ranging from november to march and extreme humidity and heat in monsoon seasons causing incessant perspiration is a point of concerns for those not used to
- The campus location in Guwahati with the city fairly developed with respect to other cities in India with remote facilities for recreation and opportunities for upskilling or internship and other opportunities is disappointing.
Placement Experience:
Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

- There is not so much thing to dislike but 1 thing mostly people dislike is that guwahati is not a urban city
- Exams are actually very tough and sometimes it actually demotivating.
- The old hostels infrastructure is not very good
Placement Experience:
Placements are decent in my branch. But in recent times there is a dip in coming companies.Average package of my branch is 8 lpa and highest goes around 21 lpa. Almost 80 percent students get placed and others choose phd. My plan is to get a good package job.

- Attendence policy of 75 percent is necessary
- For some new student the seasonal change in weather might be different

The campus placement of iit guwahati is very good .from 7th semester student get campus placement . Many companies visited the campus and offerd student with high package. Avaerage packege of case is around 35 lakh and vaerage is around 3 crore.

- I really love the rich and vibrant campus, We have the best campus in India. It is an honour to study in such a lovely environment, full of lush greenery and serene beauty.
- Infrastructure is top notch and beautifully made. It feels really good to sit in comfortable classrooms while we study.
- Being a fresher, we were given a mentor, that helps me at every stage of my college life, which is a very nice thing because in the first month i felt so confused, and my mentor helped me navigate through alot of things.
Dislikes
- Too much competition, it gets to me sometimes, and i start to wonder if I'll be able to survive this environment in the next 4 years.
- I don't like how most of the professors are either bengali/assamese. I havent seen much diversity in the rest of the staff as well. They're mostly assamese.
- Mess food tastes very bland and lifeless. Nutritional value that it holds is very less. I dont get enough protein through this mess food it seems.

1. From the 6th semester students become eleigible for campus placements.
2. Big companies like McKinsey, Google, microsoft, adobe, amazon, flipkart, meesho, bcg, bain, tcs, have visited our campus this year and the offers made were around 164 during a span of 59 days.
3. Highest package was 2cr for an international offer
4. 50%
5. I wanna get a job, a high paying one.

From semester 7 onwards we are eligible for placements.Many companies come and go many offers they give.more than 90%of us will get placed.im going to look after my ms degree in foreign.then I will get marry and look after my children.

Placement status is good students get placement the range of the salary of placement may very according to your efforts which you put or according to company but most of the students in the 4th year get placement until and unless they they said do not want to sit in

- Nothing to improve our college is doing their absolute best. They are providing very good time for both social life and academic life and their were many fests about sports, cultural events, technical events and many more
- The instructos are so good their teaching methods are so good. They are also working hard enough. Faculty advisors also playing a very important role to improve a students life at the end of the day.
- The material they are providing for labs or for sports purpose the grounds were so good the gym was so good. They are giving us strenth to both mental and physically

Listen i am from IIT GUWAHATI it is the best engineering college in india. As you know. From seventh semester they will also to the placements. More than 200 companies will visit for no doubt. Highest package will be definitely more the 2 crore in the recent academic years and average is around 20 lakhs. Almost 98 percent students getting placement

- We have a good research facilities and professors are also supportive.
- Girls to boys ratio is 1:3 in every branch.
Dislikes
- There is huge workload in terms of academics.
- We have our tests in every short period of time.
- Suicide rate in our college is also the most considered with other colleges.
Placement Experience:
Our college have a good placement scenario. A total of around 300 companies visit our campus yearly. The average package of our campus is around 26 lakhs and around 93% of students got placed every year.

Placement Experience:
The student become eligible for the placement after the 6semester, and having no active backlogs while sitting for the campus placemnts, the companies visited contains the list of the top IT and the PSUs company such as BPCL, Reliance etc.
The highest package for the company was 2crore for the year 2020 which offered the role for the software engineer.
The lowest package was 6lakh that was offered,
the percentage of the students get placed were 84% of the 2020 batch which included the B.Tech and the M.tech and the phd students.
