Course Curriculum Overview
As of now our course curriculum is not as much up to date with what the industry demands. Like in Engeneering Drawing we have to draw with our hands although at the current scenario we have computers to do so.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies like Google, Microsoft, Texus Instruments, Deloitte, etc visit our campus to offer internships. They offer the role of SDE, product manager, Consultant, etc paying stipend ranging from 50 thousands to 2 lakhs per month.
Placement Experience
Our college have a good placement scenario. A total of around 300 companies visit our campus yearly. The average package of our campus is around 26 lakhs and around 93% of students got placed every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for one year is around 1.5 lakhs. It includes 1 lakh of tution fees and the remaining 50 thousands are for other stuffs like hostel,mess , electricity, water , Gymkhana fees, etc. For SC/ST students the fees is around 32 thousands.
Campus Life
IIT Guwahati is very active in terms of fests and clubs. It conducts the north easter largest festa like Alcheringa, Techniche, Udgam, Spirit etc. We have different clubs like coding, finance, trading, dance , music, etc.
Admission
As all of us know IITs are the most prestigious engeneering colleges in our country. They have top NIRF rankings and world rankings as well.To get into IITs one should have to clear the Joint Entrance Exam ( Mains + Advanced) with top ranks.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is around 1:12. Our professors are very supportive and have a huge experience. They also have good research paper work. On the other hand our exams are a bit tougher. Like our endsems are considered to be the most toughest papers.
Night Life
We have a good nightlife inside our campus. We are free to wander inside our campus 24×7. Many hangout spots including Serpentine lake, View Point, Mechanical hill, etc are there. Many food outlets are there which operates till 3 am.
