Techno India University Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I always wanted to learn more about business and that led to me choosing this course, the faculty-student ratio is okay-ish. The teaching methods are pretty basic, but most of the teachers are very helpful. Exams are always on time and the exams are average in difficulty level.

The campus placement drive is initiated in the 5th semester itself and this year's highest package offered was 10lpa from Byju's. TCS also conducts its placement drive on campus. Famous companies like PWC, Deloitte, and Wipro offer placements.

Techno India college situated in Kolkata was selected by me after a rightful selection across various other colleges. The college has multiple placement opportunities in the field of marketing, human resource, finance and many more. The admission was done in a streamlined way with the marks of 10th and 12th standard that were asked for with a round of personal interview, questions were very basic in terms of selecting the course and where my interest inclined.

From the fifth semester, the companies start visiting to hire some employees mainly as interns. One can also do an internship from the second semester as well if one wants to. More than 30 companies visit. And most of them offer to post to the students. The highest package was for seven lakhs this year, and the average is three-four lakhs per annum. In most cases, students can crack the interview and get an internship offer. My plan is to go for higher studies.

The highest package was 7.2 l and the lowest was 2.4l and the average was 3-4 l. 40-50% of the students only got placed. Currently, I am doing a job that I got from the college after that I want to higher studies.

From the final year, students are eligible for placements. No internship will be offered. In the second year, they will tell you to do internships from Internshala but that's not linked to the college. Amazon, Vivo, icici bank, Archive X Solutions, Delta etc are the companies visit here. Salary package offered, lowest 1.75 LPA, average 2.40 LPA, highest 7 LPA. Profiles are sales associate, Business Development Associate, customer service associate etc. 60% of student got placed. I couldn't go for the interview in my College. So I will be doing MBA after my graduation here. I was chosen by 5 companies but couldn't sit for an interview because I was in my hometown due to a pandemic. But my friend got a position as Business Development Associate at Archive X Solutions with a package of 2.40 LPA.

Our college provides good placement opportunities. Many companies like Deloitte, Wipro, Infosys, etc. visit us and recruit deserving candidates. Our college provides all the guidance before the placements.

So class of 2022 was heavily affected by the placement situation as due to this ongoing pandemic. From semester 4 the students are eligible for campus placement as the internship season begins from the same and talking about companies that visited for internship was very less it was around 5 and that's ironic. I don't know about the final placement as I'm in the 4th sem and the percentage of students getting placed is quite low. my plan after getting the degree is flexible and subjective to the situation if the pandemic continues then I won't immediately go for MBA instead I will work for a year or more and get that work experience in my resume to convert to better colleges.

From the mid-year of the course, the student does get eligible for an internship but as per all the university rules final year internship is a must and its provided through the university. I can't give the exact amount placement offers comes to the students because all the universities are facing covid 19 problems and I'm in 2 years so I can't give that answer to you guys but the minimum packages that are offered here are around 2.5 lakhs per annum.
