Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course in respect of my interest and by analysing the course curriculum from the University websites, it appears relevant as far i assumed and that's why my interest fall in this course. Hence this curriculum preparing me for real life applications and further academic pursuits by enhancing my knowledge and acts like a booster to my brain power. Some areas of improvement are like some changes in class time table and more active professors way of teaching.

Internships Opportunities

5

The companies which offer internship opportunities are: EY( Ernst and Young) which offer the following roles- Auditing , Data analyzing and consulting intern. Niti Ayog( intern) which provide tasks like- Data Collection and analytics and Drafting reports and Policy documents.

Placement Experience

5

From first year only my college students became eligible for placements based upon their skills and level of confidence they have to get such placements. Name of the companies are like EY , KPMG, BCG etc. highest and average package is explicitly not disclosed by the companies. Percentage of students getting placement is more then 70% . My plans after getting the degree will be not be disclosed for some reasons.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly i used to pay ?16000 and my collegemates who have different categories also used to pay same fee depending on their respective courses. There are many kinds of financial aid and scholarships which may help many students from low financial background. Names are FSS and NSP programs.

Campus Life

5

Annuall festival in my college is Priyadarshini which creates a lot of excitement in students and it invites many famous artists for singing, and creating blasting fun for the students. And this annual festival held in February. Now if i talk about range of books and availability of study material is like very good for the students which help them a lot for studying various journals and course related books. The facilities and technological provisions within the class is also start rated. Sports and extracurricular activities have number of varities offered by the campus. Many social club societies are also there, eg, Adveka- an environmental society which creats a positive impact on students.

Admission

I also applied for Chaudhary Charan Singh University of Meerut, but didn't joined it because it was not my dream university, i chose it as my option B . Then I got admission in Dyal Singh college which has number of sports and skills opportunities , hence this attached to get this college. The addmission process sharts from CUET, i scored well in that and then made preference list for the colleges i want and then finally got this Dyal Singh college and I finally chose it. The cut off was vary according to kotas and reservations and the scores. Therefore my overall admission experience was full of hard work and luck testing.

Faculty

5

On an average there is one faculty teacher for around 25-30 students because in this way teacher and students can pay attention to each other in a better way. The faculty i like is political one because the professors teach in very innovative way which enhance my interest in study and to know more about it. There are some faculties I don't like is my hindi one because I feel boring while studying it. And the last thing is that college exams are easily qualifying if studies with proper attention and the course curriculum is also well designed.

Night Life

5

If I discuss about night life in or around my college is like the most fascinating red beaches in the college where a lot of students used to hang up with their friends . And outside the college there is Maggie point which really attract many campus students. Cafeterias is also hanging up place for friends where we discuss so many things and enjoy over there.

Placement Experience:

The placement is decent, not extraordinary. The average package is around 4.5-5 LPA, and the highest is around 21LPA. Students become eligible during their final year. The companies that have visited are EY, Wipro, DE Shaw & Co., Deloitte, etc. Decent number of students don't sit for placements or choose higher studies instead. As for me, I plan to do an MBA after graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It DU, so i think for many students it comes down to if you are able to make it to cutt off list. So my decision was based on it. I cleared the cutt off list for english hons so i took it. I wanted to make my way for govt job, so it was all about getting a degree regardless of what subject i was getting. I think curriculum just make you educated enough to get to know but its the college life that make you come face to face with the real world. exams every 6 months i.e every semester i think its good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really like Human Geography which let me to opt for this paper. Besides theory papers, we also have practical papers every semester through which we conduct surveys, interviews, research which helps us in preparing for the real world applications as well as further academic pursuits if we want to go in the field of Remote sensing or GIS. I feel that for papers including research or management, we should be showcasing how we can mitigate them or adapt in such scenarios and also make drafts for writing a research for further pursuits. However, as the time is limited it is quite understandable as to why its not conducted. We have two exams in a year and they are quite relevant and easy
