The campus of the college is quite big. Students can sit and in greenery when they have a gap between the classes. The buildings and classrooms are also very well built
Due to students coming from all over India aiming at Delhi University there is huge diversity, people from different backgrounds and places encourage different cultures

Course Curriculum Overview

I have always been a literature enthusiast which made me choose this course. Reading more is a habit everyone must develop. According to me the literature also helps us in understanding human emotions better as well as makes us more empathetic.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 14000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

the annual fees for BA(hons.) English at Deshbandhu College is nearly ?14000. I belong to general category and pay the same amount yearly. For students in the general category the amount is quite affordable and easy to pay.

Campus Life

The annual fest of our college is called Sabrang. Various famous celebrities and artists come to our college for the fest. There are also many societies and clubs. I am a part of the Marketing Society as well as the Entrepreneurship Cell of our college. Both these societies help students deal with real life problems and train them for things that would help in future.

Admission

Initially I was aiming for a north campus college because I live in the northern area of Delhi which would have made commutation easy for me on daily basis. North campus cutoff for general goes high for general category students which I could not clear, therefore, could not make it to north campus

Faculty

The faculty is quite nice. The teachers are always ready to help the students whenever they need it. The students and teachers share a good bond with each other. I personally think that the commerce faculty is the best in our college. The teachers teach well and are actually nice to students. Mrs. Arushi from commerce department is my GE teacher and has helped me alot in that subject.

Night Life

There are various good hangout spots near our college. My personal favourite is McDonalad's and Third Wave Coffee. Both these places are very near our college and good hangout spots. They are also affordable places to eat after class for students.

The curriculum is not good. Delhi University should focus much better on the curriculum.. There's no need of subject like evs, swach bharat, and all for a college student... The timetable is manageable..

Let's be fair as jobs in current scenario are that many in comparison to the number of students that graduates every year. From 6 semester students become eligible for campus placement but if we doing 4 years of college so 8 semester. Name of the companies visited. Zomato Amazon Uber Ibm There are around 70000 students who are eligible for the placement Asiants paints The highest and average package offered to the students is 35 LPA for highest and 3-4 LPA average. The percentage of a student must be above 80 percent if they want a average job but if a person want a job in great company they should have percentage around 90 to 95. My plans after getting the degree to become a lecturer. placements, especially for students in popular courses like commerce, economics, and science. The college often invites various companies for campus recruitment, and many students have secured jobs in reputable firms. the extent of placements can vary each year based on market conditions, the courses offered, and the students' performance. If campus placements are limited or not offered, students can still focus on enhancing their employability. Where do you see yourself in DBC

I would say genuine

I applied to Delhi university only and this college was my 14th preference, I was getting BCom in Gargi college but i always wanted to go to some co-ed college only so I chose this. I couldn't make it to the north campus due to less cuet score. Admission process of my college is not different, it goes on same for the whole Delhi university. Maths/Accountancy is compulsory to have in 12th standard for applying to BCom hons and all the commerce students have studied accountancy in their 12th standard. Overall admission experience was pretty good, it's just that due to late results of cuet, the whole process got late, but it was quiet convenient....Read More
