I had applied for BHU (Banaras Hindu University),St. Xavier's College,Kolkata and Lady Brabourne College,Calcutta University. And I had got confirmation for admission in all of them but chose Delhi University over others because of the exposure and facilities being provided. No, I didn't get any rejection from other colleges but didn't wanted to get admission there. The admission process is very simple.Appearing for CUET is the only way to get admission into Delhi University. Your preference list plays an important role in deciding your college and I made a mistake in making the preference list only . Their are multiple more colleges better for this course but due to lack of knowledge at that time i made some mistakes. But i will advise you to keep the best colleges at the top doesn't matter what your score was. Colleges like Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Shaheed Sukhdev are the best colleges for this course . My first choice was fine arts, college of art, delhi university. My cuet marks were good but we had to give a practical exam which went wrong. My second choice was any Hons. language course and before giving the practical exam for fine art, i got selected for french Hons. I didn't choose this over any other college because i wanted this course and it was only available in my faculty. So, there were none other options. First we have tp give common entrance exam for delhi university then as i got selected i had to pay the course fee through SLC portal after they confirmed my admission and i was added to a whatsapp group. The cutoffs depends upon the course and college you are choosing for example SRCC's cutoff os 96.8% for B.COM Hons. And for my course and college it was around 81%.
