Course Curriculum Overview

4

The fact that the curriculum is somewhat related to real life application is what attracted me to the course. I really like statistics and I can choose my 4 electives that can help me work towards that and my hobbies. The curriculum doesn't help me much like only 1 subject per semester which helps you become job ready. The college could opt for smartboards in every classes. Currently there are only blackboards. Smartclasses could help students study bettwe with daily lectures being saved. There are 5 hours of every subject per week with some having practical and theory differentiated. They are a bit on a harder level which I like because it strives me to study and think more critically.

Internships Opportunities

3

College internships are provided by same companies that I mentioned earlier for placements. On top of that there is an internal internship opportunity as well which is principal KMC internship scheme. Most internship roles include analyst roles, Financial analyst, business analyst, research analyst, marketing intern, human resoursce intern etc.

Placement Experience

4

The placements of my colleges are good. The students are eligible for campus placements in their third year, during 5th and 6th semesters. There are a lot of companies that come and offer students placements, like the big 4 accounting firms, D.E. Shaw, Tres Vista, ICICI Bank, Accenture, Zomato, Amazon, etc. The highest package provided overall was 23.05 LPA by D.E. Shaw. Average Accepted Package is 10.05 LPA. Average packages offered were 7.24 LPA. and the Median Package is 6.67 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearwise fees for my course is ?17115 per annum. There are no hidden charges, you might want to consider the charges of CUET exam fees and the registration fees for CSAS UG. Other than that no other form of fees. This is for unreserved category. I only know the fees for SC category other than mine which is ?16930 per annum. For the rest as well, it is around this range only with minor deviations.

Campus Life

3

Every society has their own fests and events so its hard to name any. But there are a lot of events that are happening almost one every day and sometimes multiple a day. The college's library is really good. There are many books that are available there, including academic and non-academic like selfhelp. The classrooms are rally spacious which are more than adequte for all our needs.

Admission

I chose Kirori Mal College over others because it is located in the heart of University of Delhi. I only applied to local colleges and University of Delhi. I didn't get rejected from local colleges because I had a good enough marks in my boards examinations. To get admission in Kirori Mal College, you need to give CUET first, and after CUET, you have to get registered with CSAS UG which is the counselling for getting admission into any college in University of Delhi. The cutoffs get very high because every student wants to get into DU. about 97% was required to get into my college in Mathematics Honours.

Faculty

3

In my department, there are about 15 faculty members. The faculty are really nice. I have never had any trouble with any faculty member. Whenever, I have any doubt, I can ask any of them faculty and they helped me with my question either directly or indirectly. I really liked Stanzin Dorjay because he is a really chill guy, he always add jokes in his lectures which makes his lectures really fun. There isn't any faculty member that I had any problem with. There are exams during semesters which come under internal assessment and end semesters at the end of the semester.

Night Life

2

The college closes at around 6'o clock after all the lectures are over. The library is open till 6 as well. After 6 mostly everything is closed. Otherwise, the gym, library and other parts of college campus are really nice. For late night activities, all prefer to go outside of college. The whole Kamla Nagar market is areally fun place to visit with your friends and since it is Delhi, safety is there but you still have to be cautious.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Hindu College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Jan 6, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented
