Deshbandhu College - A 360 Degree Review

The curriculum is very applicable and follow the norms of the University of Delhi. The syllabus is of CBCS (Choice Based Credit System). Each semester include 4-5 core or elective papers along with AEC or SEC skill based subjects.

The internships opportunities are not very much, But several companies like Tech Mahindra, Wipro, TravClan like these offers internships in the field of Bussiness Development Executive, Content Writer, Marketing and Sales etc.

Placements are not very good as the college has a separate placement cell, but somehow it is not as good as others Delhi University colleges. Very minimal companies offer some job and placement opportunites.

The fee structure is quite affordable and consistent with the norms of Delhi University colleges. The yearly fees I paid were around 12,500 in the first year, including all the charges like tuition fees, library, lab, etc. Caution fees are charged only once during admission, around 1000 INR. There are students from reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC who are eligible for significant fee waivers and financial aid. Regarding Scholarships, Deshbandhu College provides access to various university-level scholarships, including the "Merit-cum-Means" and several state-level schemes.

The Campus life is very Vibrant and beautiful with several societies like UBA, Polienz, NSS, NCC, Dhyeam, and the fest is also excellent and classy, as other top colleges of DU fests are happening. I enjoyed my college life.

I have chosen this college due to its excellent NIRF and other rankings and the legacy and well-known name of the department of political science and the faculty. The got this college after I got 690/800 in my CUET UG exam.

The faculty-student relationship is quite healthy at Deshbandhu College, especially in the Department of Political Science. Despite the clasroom strengh, most teachers are very approacable both during and outside lecture hours.

Yes, Deshbandhu College has GYM, one of the biggest libraries of South Campus and the whole DU and have a large cafeteria for refresements and a clean and beautifull canteen. Various sports and games include Cricket, Table tennis, and other are also there.
