Health center with full time ambulance is available, other facilities inside the campus includes a big library with RFID facilities and multistory reading room, Indian Bank University Branch, 2 Indian Bank ATM counters, Post office, Reprographic centers, shopping complex, Ponlit Milk parlour, Day care, Kendriya Vidyalaya school. Free transport facilities are provided. Busses will run freely through the campus which will get us to various parts of the campus. University Beach is situated just in front of the university.

The syllabus will be updated every three years for every course conducted in the university, thus course curriculum will cope with the demands of the changing world. Also, for master students there is an option for choosing soft core courses from other departments for getting more credits. Students can also delete soft core courses if they wish so in case they already have extra credits.

Yes, Internships are provided by the departments in university. Firstly students who wish to join for summer internship in Pondicherry university can find suitable department, lab and faculty whom they find suitable from the university website under school section in academics tab. There we can find e-mail address and contact number of faculties. Just directly mail them saying that you wish to join for summer internship and so. Chances will be more if you have recommendation from your institution faculty. Hostel will be given and mess food will be available for nominal cost. Usually stipends are not given for interns.

There are verity of courses available which offers different type of job opportunities. Job opportunities and placements are good for Social work, MBA, Library science, Law and related departments. When we look on to the trend of science students of Pndicherry university, most of them will go for Phd and higher studies.

Main celebrations that will happen inside the campus are Onam (Kerala Festival), Pongal (Tamilnadu), Holi (North Indian), Ugadi (Andra and Telengana), Shivrathri, Christmas and other festivals of North eastern states are usually celebrated. Events inside the campus will be many and sometimes the students inside the campus will not even know it, thus everyone should look notifications in the university website for getting updated with the events that happen inside the campus.

Pondicherry university offers very low fee for most of the courses when we compare it with other universities in India. For newly started self financing courses, fee rate is little bit higher. But hostel is free for girls and only nominal fee is applicable for boys.

University is offering different scholarships for its students in selected courses like bioinformatics, sanskrit etc. PhD scholars without NET/JRF can avail university fellowship. Also for those students who come first in class will get special fellowships. Loan facility is not directly offered by the university.

Students have good opportunity in sports and other games. One Cricket stadium, one foot ball stadium, basket ball stadium, volleyball court, badminton court, tennis stadium and another big play ground is available for the use of students. University team selections will be conducted and anyone wish to join can participate. Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) provides access to different sophisticated instruments like SEM,TEM, XRD, FTIR, RAMAN, NIRS, NMR etc for students of every department. Animal house with marine animal facility is also available for biotech research. Also every department labs has their own analytical as well as laboratory instruments. Only HR-TEM is charged (Rs 1000) for its use by the students, every other instruments inside CIF can be availed freely by the students.

More than 15 hostels are available in the university. Most of them have very good infrastructure. All hostels are surrounded by immense greenery. There are separate hostel for boys and girls. PhD scholars will have separate hostel as well as mess. Mess will be in walkable distance from the hostels. Due to insufficient rooms for girl students an additional new hostel is being constructed which is almost ready for use. Also Separate Gym is available for boys and girls. Freedom is guaranteed since wardens does not appear in hostels mostly. Every hostel will be guarded by a security person round the clock.

Frequent contact with alumni are kept by the students through watsapp and facebook. Also regular alumni meets are conducted by the departments of the university to keep in touch. Seniors are always helpful especially for guiding us after the completion of course.

Exam structure can be varied according to the wish of each department separately. But the general structure consists of at least two internal exams and a final exam per semester. Also Internal marks will be given to students which depends upon activities given by the concerned faculty like seminar, group discussion, product marketing, quiz etc.

Every year in the month of April we can register for Pondicherry university entrance exam through university website and opt for various programs. Entrance exam centers will be available throughout India. Results will be published online and will mention the dates for admission. If anybody does not join on given date, then the next person in the rank list will get a chance.

Every faculty in the university are highly qualified. Most of them have post doctorate. Many of the science faculties will be available in their respective research labs even at night time due to their dedication towards research. Every faculty also have good number of publications in reputed journals and always keeps on counting.
