First of all it is a central university. Now it is one the top-10 central universities in India. As it sound name it provides a better path and enrich the knowledge of the students to lead rest of the life.

Course Structure covers both basic subjects of core as well as research oriented subjects. In the first year first semester we cover all the basic subjects and from the second semester onward research oriented subjects enters. In the final year we do start project along with subjects.

Yes, Our University provides internships to the students as a computer Science Students we get internships in a software companies. 60 % of students get internships and the duration is 3-4 months. Many companies offer salary in between Rs 5000 to Rs 10000.

Pondicherry University has a strong placement department. Generally in the starting of 3rd semester in the second year we get placements. Many MNCs visit the campus. For Computer Science department TCS,WIPRO,CTS,Polaris,HP,Patny Technologies and other MNCs are visit the campus.

We participated in many curricular and co-curricular events in the university. For every semester department conducts three or four conferences and workshops.To celebrate anniversary university conducts many games, quizzes, debates, dance competitions and etc.

For all PG courses except MBA fee is collected as Rs 11,425 it includes Tuition fee and other fee. For all MBA courses fee is collected as 24,925. The above fee excludes Hostel fees. The caution deposit of Rs.3000/- (for Indian nationals) and Rs.6000/- (for foreign nationals) is to be paid while joining the hostel.

The candidate who secures the highest percentage of marks in P.G. admission entrance examination shall be eligible for the award of Merit Scholarship @ Rs.500/- p.m. for the Ist semester. For the subsequent semesters the Merit scholarship at same rate of Rs.500/- p.m. shall be awarded to the candidates as noted here under.

There is different diversities in the campus life. Every day central seminar hall is engaged with any of conference or workshop. There are mini theater ,cricket ground and Indore stadium,Swimming pool, Battery cars,free Bicycles,Gym and facilities in the campus.

There are 17 hostels in the campus, 11 for men, 5 for women students/research scholars and 1 for foreign students. Students who are admitted to the hostels are provided food in the mess.In addition to University buses and vans, battery operated vehicles and bicycles are also plying in the campus free of cost throughout the day covering all hostels to enable the students to visit departments, library, lab etc. Wifi connectivity is also provided to all hostels to enable the students to have 24 hours internet access.

There is alumni body in the campus for every department. Seniors are frequently visit the campus to interact with faculty and students and they contribute valuable suggestions.

For every six months semester exams are conducted by the University. Students are awarded by the grades like A+,A,B+,B,C and D. Weight-age of marks are calculated as CGPA system. For every semester 2 lab exams also conduct by the faculty. Results are announced along with the lab grades.

I attended for the PUCET which is conducted across the India. Results are announced after one month then we need to attend for Counselling. After Counselling final list will be displayed. If any one is missed then chance goes to waiting list candidates.

Faculty are well qualified and knowledgeable persons they deliver lectures as content based and application oriented. Our faculty give lectures to explore innovative things from students as they conduct Seminars, Presentations and student assessment procedures. During Semester examinations open book examinations are conducts that yield real understanding of concepts. Based on the performance students are awarded by grades.
