Remarks

Gargi college has a great canteen that attracts students from the nearby colleges as well. We have a good WiFi network throughout the college. The washrooms are clean. There are a number of fields, parks and open spaces for lounging in the sun.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is extensive and rich enough to induce an idea of understanding and curiosity among the young minds of this generation. There are quite a number of educational trips followed by seminars and workshops(organised by the college)that keep the students engaged and interested.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, it does. Though I did not participate in any of the internships provided by my college. I am well acquainted with the basic framework of the internships as my friends took part in it. Most of the internships begin during the summer vacation.

Placement Experience

5

The placement and job opportunities are remarkable to say the least, especially when it comes to the department of commerce. Quite a number of famous companies turn up and based on the academic performance of the students, they select them for an interview session.

College Events

5

There are quite a number of events celebrated in my college. In fact, Gargi's annual fest, Reverie, is considered to be one of the best fests of Delhi University. Apart from Reverie, we also have the Diwali Mela, department fests, seminars, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible for the annual fee is mere 8500 per year. For economically backward classes, there's a considerable compensation when it comes to the fee payment. Not only, students can also apply for scholarships.

Fees and Financial Aid

There's a good, in fact one of the best scholarships provided by my college. But then again it entirely depends on your economic status. If a student is economically backward, she can avail the scholarship where they have to pay a meagre amount in the name of fee or if the situation demands, no fee at all.

Campus Life

4

There is a plethora of opportunities for students who want to take part in extracurricular activities, be it badminton, cricket, volleyball, football, etc. As for the labs, Gargi college is well equipped with three humongous computer labs. We also have chemistry, biology and physics labs.

Hostel Facilities

5

My college does not provide any hostel facility unlike the other colleges of Delhi University. This is owing to the fact that there's a shortage of space. Besides, the location of the college acts as a hindrance in expanding the infrastructure.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very helpful and approachable. As for the alumni network, we observed that its extremely strong for its based on cordial relations and a willingness to help each other grow. So they are available for each other as well as their juniors.

Exam Structure

The exam structure follows the same pattern that we had in schools with a bit of change. While we did not have to submit assignments in schools and neither did we have an exam of 75 marks, in college, they expect an assignment and based on it, the internal assessment is made. This is followed by an exam of 75 marks.

Admission

After its cut off list was out, i applied to the college for admission. We were supposed to fill the application forms and provide our marksheets of tenth and twelfth along with the migration certificate (if need be) and a character certificate.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of my college, be it of any department, are always available to help the students. They are well educated and knowledgeable, hence, equipped fully to quench the thirst of knowledge amongst the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum was verey much Comprehensive. I wanted to accomplish this course at any cost because of my excellent flair in this language adding to my Interest. It actually broadened by Mental Horizon and shaped my thinking perception. It also helped me in my Academic pursuits not only for me but also for my kids as well. It also helped me in widening my own Knowledge and buit my awareness regarding many issues we face in our daily lives. As such there are no serious concerns for improvrment. The difficulty level of Examinations is immensely higher than other courses and it braeks student's confidence too. The level has to brought down else it won't be a Piece of cake for average students anymore !

Placement Experience:

I'm a freshmen so I'm not really sure about placements and how it works. And as far as I can remember, the placements take place mostly for the students of commerce background. I don't think there's no such internship provided for non commerce students. I have very little idea about placements as I've mentioned before but some companies do provide placements like zomat, zudio, stanza living etc. The college placement cell is quite active and my friends try to always take part in it.

Placement Experience:

St. Stephen's College has a placement cell called the Campus Placement Cell which facilitates the placement and internship process. There are many companies like Bain and Co, Accenture, Salesforce, JP Morgan, DeShaw, McKinsey and Co, HUL, Deutsche Bank etc. The average base pay package is around Rs. 9.3 LPA. The highest one was around 24LPA. The CPC is student run and helps each student with academic and employability processes. Students are reached out to by the CPC from the first year as well, engaging them in various volunteering works. CPC brings internship opportunities for students from their second year, and by third year (Vth Semester) the students become eligible for placements. Students from Economics, Maths and Bsc Programme get the highest number of placements every year. Students from arts course also get, but majority of people turn to other careers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well defined and comprehensive. The St. Stephen's College is ranked by NIRF as one of the top colleges in India for B.Sc and B.A Hons. in various subjects. The course curriculum changes every few years so that the students are getting the latest knowledge. Exams are held time-to-time in every semester and the difficulty level of exams is not very hard, it's moderate. One thing I do not like is that even after paying such high fees for tuition, we also have to pay 2500-3000rs per exam as exam fees.
