Course Curriculum Overview

4

Usually bachelor of commerce prog. Doesn't get recognised as any major accomplishment in the industry but since the implementation of NEP 2020 I believe the perspective should change. The subjects have changed and increased for the good l.the involvement of real life industry based skills really devloped the value of course itself. However the application of computer based skills should be further improved with introduction to coding which is now required in finance for analysis of statements.other than that the exam timming are usually in two shifts morning shift and evening, however during winters it get's difficult with the weather conditions being extreme when returning to home.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is around 14.5 thousand per year for program and BA courses for three year courses and for courses under science subject's are for around 30 thousand a year which is still pretty affordable considering lakhs of rupees charged by private institutions for similar studies. Each semester a sum of 1400 is also payable with subject to examination fees.No fee diffrence for any category is available since fees is affordable already and yearly scholarship are available for 50% sponsership from the University it self which is notified by the management in starting of every Students are provided with funds by the university for college programs and fest and since it's Delhi University based elective candidates have resources for annual functions which are prominent in the whole nation. Each year the fee structure witnesses a increase of a thousand rupees generally to cope up the rising prices.

Campus Life

5

Each year college annual fest Shraddhatarang is hosted by the college management which really is a vibe in itself, great decoration and performance from visiting college students glamour the stage for each individual, the fest usually hosted on month of April and lasts for two days, with free food and drinks for students and teacher's under a buffet system, artist are hired for a night performance which stands as glamourous to the students giving them a break from the busy schedule of upcoming exams. Societies and groups also prepare goodies and assemble stalls for funds genration and profit based model's. The college offers a variety of sports option aswell, for instance we are among top five school of 91 college of Delhi University and also have the alumni of harshit rana in the Indian cricket team.

Admission

I was the first batch to have given the common entrance exam for central university in 2022 and since a new procedure was established there wasn't any resources to cope up it.thus even after scoring a whopping 95 percentile in CUET and still landed in a teir 3 college but I was surprised how much of a diffrence it really hold.I landed a private institute before delhi university and a state government of Uttar Pradesh college also but since I got enrolled in Delhi University I couldn't been more happy, your college will not define your efficiency that's what I learned but I do not deny the perks you get in the top most colleges of Delhi University,The crowd and the connections would be memorable and so on.Make your preference clear from the start when you apply under Delhi University.

Faculty

Teacher's are usually supportive in each activity by Students and are very humble in nature unless you really don't plan on doing something really absurd, they provide resources which can help you ace the exam and provide you with academic, real life and industry based narrative with their experience indulged in it.Mohar sir are my greatest mentor and he is the head of financial accounting and I have lead a hackathon under him and learned the insights from him about the career path I should choose. With New education policy since 2020 it becomes extremely hectic to manage your subject's each semester you have seven exams which includes three major subjects a language exam and three additional subjects of your choice which makes it much difficult when you lack a mentor.

Night Life

3

The college itself is on the outskirts of Delhi near the haryana border students who look for fun activities like clubbing and socializing usually take metro to cannaught place or punjabi bagh which has night clubs and a better experience. College does not offers hostel facilities and you'd have to rent a flat or PG if you want accomodation near college. The most famous Hangout spots would be the college canteen as a student and if you have a date there are 4-6 cafe's around the area which could be go to spot for Student couples.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects like Law, Management, HRM and Economics really influence my choice for this course. The law and economics part was really something that garb my attention as well as excite me the most. It really helped in understanding HR policies in depth which helped me really world a lot. The curriculum should include more practical and technical subjects which will help in the corporate world too. The exam timings were usually 2 to 3 hours max. And the exam also doesn't come too hard to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of Janki Devi Memorial College is quiet relevant and covers the important areas of the subject in a structured way one of the reasons I preferred this course was it is designed according to Delhi University standards and the syllabus is recognise and useful for higher studies the combination of theory papers skill enhancement courses and internal assessment help in building clear understanding of the subject. The curriculum helps in writing resources and critical thinking skills which are useful not only in exams but also for future academic and professional work at the same time, I feel that adding move practical sessions, workshop, or more project based learning with me the course more engaging and closed to Real world applications. Exams are held in the form of internal assessment during semester and final University exam at the end.Exams schedule is manageable and the difficult level is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course ciriculum for bcom is good and covers major aspects like accounts, business law, management, ethics. It help understand the basic concepts and useful for future studies Ciriculum is relevant but somtimes it feel more theory based rather than a practical aprroach. More practical exposure and skill based subjects can be added There might be some needed improvement in teaching as we learn account's and management it feels boring teacher can make it interesting if theu improve their methods Exam happens every 4 month after the end semester the timing of exam is good my 1st sem happened at the December whole month the difficult was not much high my account paper was difficult as it was more tricky but the difficult was managable
