Course Curriculum Overview

5

I would like to rate my course 10/10. This course is dynamic and it's syllabus keeps changing. It helps in the government exam as well, as majority of the students are engaged in this course are preparing for UPSC. If i mention the specific aspects that influenced me to choose this course is my interest since school time. Its syllabus related with that of ncert. The curriculum prepares us for the real word arena as politics is real life activity and happening in every sphere.

Placement Experience

4

There is a placement cell called Disha in our Hindu College, along with an internship cell. It aims to provide placement to students. All the information related to Disha is available on their Linkedin platform.

Fees and Financial Aid

In year 2023, when I took admission, the college fees was Rs.25,500 for general category for two semesters that is first year. It increases every year. There is scholarshship named Rajeev Bhargava scholarship, which is availed after getting into college.

Campus Life

5

Mecca and Suruchi- the diwali mela are two biggest events conducted by Hindu College annually. Sports competition are also regularly conducted. The overall ambience is very joyful. The campus included library, more than 30 societies and two canteen.

Admission

I applied to 8 colleges of Delhi university, out of which I applied to Hindu College at number 1. My course was decided that is Political Science, so the colleges which I opted after Hindu is as follows: Miranda, Kirormal, Ramjas, IPCW. I got into Hindu College in the first go, so i didn't receive any rejection. The eligibility for admission is CUET exam, i also appeared for it and scored 800/800 which is the cutoff for admission into Political Science Honours in Hindu College for general category.

Faculty

5

Political Science is the flagship department of Hindu College, it has best faculties. They have unique method of teaching, some provide notes while some prefer teaching via presentations. Every semester has end sem exams which are at university level.

Night Life

5

As Hindu College is situated in North Campus, it is close to Majnu ki Tilla and Hudson Lane which has innumerable cafes. There is famous sudama tea stall near Ramjas College. Kamla Nagar is like the night hub of students which offers various activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral). My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
