College compus is too large and have a very green environment,have 20 lakes inside it
The faculty are really supportive and helpful,seniour are the best here..

Course Curriculum Overview

Everything is good here nothing is the problem here...exam are so consecutive here..4 month is duration for a semester...after first 2 month there is mid sem....between mid and end there is minor and one internal exam...and after 4 month there is end sem

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure involves tuition fee,other fees and bhm fee i.e the mess fee, nit silchar provides scholarship based upon the annual income of family if its below 1 lakh then you dont have to pay any tuition fee...you just have to pay only the other fee and bhm.if your annual income is between 1 lakh to 5 lakh then you have to pay 1/3rd of total tuition fee...and the remaining two fees...if ur annual income is above 5 lakh then you have to pay full tuition fee and the remaining fee....this year the tuition fee is 62500 and bhm fee is 22500 and the other fee includes admission fee,library fee,sports fee and others which will vary every semester...in first semester it will something around 34k but after the first semester it will somewhere around 11k...thats all

Campus Life

There are two annual fest held at nit silchar one is technical fest and the other one is cultural fest..in the technical fest you have to showcase your technical knowledge while in cultural fest called as incandescence you have to showcase your talents such as dancing drama

Admission

I choose this college because it has great college life,lots of clubs and society to explore that helps me to learn new things..the admission is through jossaa and sports facilites are excellant..only the swimming enthusiast have to compromise

Faculty

There are 5 branches in college each branch have 2 sections which contains 80 students....students can approach faculties in class very easily as well as outside they can be approached....lots of faculties are brilliant here....there are midsem,minor,end sem exam in college

Night Life

There is gym ???????? accompanied with lots of workout instruments one cafe lots of shops such as tea point,jams corner ,fps...hangout place inside the campus is around the lakes and outside the campus there are lots of cafe lots of resturants

Great college with decent infrastructure and a large campus

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute.The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.

Placement Experience:

Placement percentage is nearly about 75-80%. Usually students get placed in good PSUs, or in tech companies. Other students opt for further studies like mtech or mba. My plans is to mtech as I want to do better jobs than a btech graduate do

Normally from third semester student become eligible campus placements but most usually take placements in fourth semester or fifth semester The percentage of getting placements are about 60% The highest package per company usually was ?80,000 per month and the average is around 20,000 Per month My plan is to get a job of a construction firm for about one year so that I can collect good amount of experience and they will hire me because I am passout from this college because this is one of the most reputed college after one year or two year, I will try for government exams or some private companies like Gautam farm, et cetera

The students who are appearing for the 7th semester end term examination are eligible for the campus placement drive , eligibility varies as per the companies eligibility criteria, main factors are CGPA score of the particular student. There are many companies who visited the campus for placement drive but the main companies who visited for campus placement drive are : NRL( Numoligorh Refinery Limited) ,ONGC( oil natural gas corporation) etc , the highest package offered was 24 lpa by NRL and the offer was got by 8 students and the average package of our college is 7lpa approx

I chose this college mainly due to its large campus and facilites and decent placements. This college has a great alumni network and has the best clubs and societies among top colleges and also organises one of the best fests. I could have got a better college but my rank didn't allow me to secure admission into the top ones. Our college only accepts JEE Mains score as the admission criteria. NIT SILCHAR? WORTHED!!

I chose this college as NIT Silchar is an allrounder package, you want academics? Done! Fest? Done!! Every wing is awesome. From the very first being in my home state, it was the best college I can opt for after IIT Guwahati. I did got offers from other colleges government and semi, but NITS gave me my favourite branch and secured future. This college has a great placement records in PSUs for core branches and great IT sector companies for other branches. Courae is ergonomically designed to withstand the students potential and push up to next limits. An honest review for NIT silchar with detail analysis.

After jossa I applied in different nits as per my rank I got electrical Engineering department. NIT Silchar is one of the prestigious nits. As per nirf ranking it comes under 7th ranking. It has one of the top digital library where there are different books available. According to campus beauty it is the best beautiful campus. It has 18 lakes and a tea garden as well.
