Remarks
The overall experience was positibe but like any other thing, there were negatives. One of them was class timings. Classes were scheduled from 8:30 in the morning on some days which were impossible to attend for some students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was rigourous in Mathematics and Economics, along with subjects related to Finance and Business. There was an internal examination for each subject and a written exam at the end of each semester for each subject. Some subjects had practical and written exams.
Placement Experience
Placements were non existent. All students who wanted to be placed had two options. Either look for a job themselves, or sit in the placements at South Campus where only mediocre jobs are offered. The college did not provide internships.
College Events
There was an annual fest for every department along with the annual college fest. There were regular cultural programmes and debates. The college had its annual day celebrations yearly. Also, there was a sports day every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee was very minimal. There were scholarships for underprivileged members of the society. For my course, the annual fee was 14000 per year plus the exam fee at the end of every year. Also, there was a fee for practical exams in the last year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offered scholarships for research projects to some students. The college also offered scholarships to course toppers and also awarded them with a trophy and certificates. Other than this, I am not aware of any loans offered by the college.
Campus Life
The sports facilities were really good. There is a Table Tennis room, Gymnasium, indoor games room, basketball court, football/cricket field. Also, there are computer labs, Chemistry and Physics labs.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has an annual Alumni meet. Since I became an alumni of the college only last year, I'll be attending my first alumni meet this year. The college invites its alumni for talks on regular basis to motivate students on how to succeed in life after college.
Faculty
Most of the faculty was well qualified and was a part of the institution for a very long time. Some of the professors were very helpful whereas some were not. Overall, the faculty was satisfactory but self study was required.
