Likes

Good environment and we have many places to study
As we have light syllabus, we have more time for eztra curricular activities
Some of the faculties are very helpful and supportive

Dislikes

Destroying infrastructure as the university got stopped funding
Jamia is widely spreaded in many gates. Each department is in each gates.
Our psychology department is very small and no enough classrooms are there

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very less. Jamia have outdated syllabus for Psychology. There is only a specialization comes in the third semester. But the compulsory two montha field work internshipnte is effective. It is a beginning for the preparation for us for the real world applications. But in Jamia we have many time for preparing for other competitive examinations for higher studies. Exams and teaching methods are good.

Class Size: 46Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For the first year I paid 10425, and for the second year I paid 8975. Both these fees includes everything. No other fees. We have two central govt scholarships, one is egrantz and other is NSP for PG students. E grantz amount is 26000 and NSP amount is 3 lakhs. NSP is based on the UG marks.

Campus Life

There are many events takes place in Jamia. Department festivals, foundation day celebrations.. Etc. Foundation day is on oct 29, so Jamia is really eventful during october last week. There is a big library and many books and journals are available there. And we have two big reading rooms with AC. Class room facilities are not that much better. There is a huge pavilion in the campus. Many communities that are academical and non academical are running there for the students welfare.

Admission

Studying on a central university was my dream. So i choose Jamia. Because it's on the centre of India. And all transportation facilities are there near Jamia. So I can explore north along with my studies. So I prepared for Jamia entrance. Also I wrote cuet. But, before cuet result, i got selected in Jamia. That year the exam was very tough and the cutoffs are very low. Thus I got admitted there. Admission procedures of Jamia during that year was a little effortful. But it got better for this year's procedure.

Faculty

There are enough faculties for every subjects. All of them are nice and approachable. Naved Iqbal sir is nice. He is very compassionate and considerate of the students. Our course structure is, we have 4 sems in two years. For each semester, we have two sessionals and a final exam. The chances of failure is very less. Anyone who studied atleast a topic can pass the exam. 75% Attendance is mandatory, based on sessionals and attendance, they provide us internal marks.

Love for Wisdom

Course Curriculum Overview:

For the course i must say that this is something everyone needs to study about even if it's for just a part. We have ethics, moral, cultural relativism and etc. In our syllabus and it all really help to make our thinking rational, to see World from that point of view from where one can see the clarity. It's really necessary for improvement in personality and making good decision. I think there's need for making this course more practical like teaching, we can teach students about essentials of philosophy for there betterment of decision making from an early age.

The course is very relevant and covers all the history topics comprehensively. The study material is very good as many upsc aspirants and students preparing for competitive exams refer it. First of all. Jamia millia is not an college. Its an central university. And i choose it because of their faculty and infrastructure and also for that jamia has 4th top university among all indian university in NIRF rankings. But i also applied for maulana azad college delhi (MAMC) because of its top ranking medical college. But jamia is now good. Admission process:- Eligibility:- you have to crack NEET exam conducted by NTA. After result you have to participate in counseling and in choice filling process you have to apply for this college at mcc portal. Then if you allot jamia millia islamia university delhi then you have to come jamia campus for Admission process. Totally offline process. Also jamia have options for B.Tech; polytechnic, BSc , BA, MA, architect courses but i know in detail only about my medical field.
