- Destroying infrastructure as the university got stopped funding
- Jamia is widely spreaded in many gates. Each department is in each gates.
- Our psychology department is very small and no enough classrooms are there
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very less. Jamia have outdated syllabus for Psychology. There is only a specialization comes in the third semester. But the compulsory two montha field work internshipnte is effective. It is a beginning for the preparation for us for the real world applications. But in Jamia we have many time for preparing for other competitive examinations for higher studies. Exams and teaching methods are good.
Fees and Financial Aid
For the first year I paid 10425, and for the second year I paid 8975. Both these fees includes everything. No other fees. We have two central govt scholarships, one is egrantz and other is NSP for PG students. E grantz amount is 26000 and NSP amount is 3 lakhs. NSP is based on the UG marks.
Campus Life
There are many events takes place in Jamia. Department festivals, foundation day celebrations.. Etc. Foundation day is on oct 29, so Jamia is really eventful during october last week. There is a big library and many books and journals are available there. And we have two big reading rooms with AC. Class room facilities are not that much better. There is a huge pavilion in the campus. Many communities that are academical and non academical are running there for the students welfare.
Admission
Studying on a central university was my dream. So i choose Jamia. Because it's on the centre of India. And all transportation facilities are there near Jamia. So I can explore north along with my studies. So I prepared for Jamia entrance. Also I wrote cuet. But, before cuet result, i got selected in Jamia. That year the exam was very tough and the cutoffs are very low. Thus I got admitted there. Admission procedures of Jamia during that year was a little effortful. But it got better for this year's procedure.
Faculty
There are enough faculties for every subjects. All of them are nice and approachable. Naved Iqbal sir is nice. He is very compassionate and considerate of the students. Our course structure is, we have 4 sems in two years. For each semester, we have two sessionals and a final exam. The chances of failure is very less. Anyone who studied atleast a topic can pass the exam. 75% Attendance is mandatory, based on sessionals and attendance, they provide us internal marks.
