Anyone with a graduate degree in any stream is eligible for the course, M.A. in Mass Communication. Online application, I don't remember the application fees (most probably it has increased a bit). Check the official website for the application dates. Muslim women quota availed since it is a muslim minority institution.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to learn the technical and the human part of story telling. AJK MCRC is one of the best in the country for it. The faculty ratio is 1:25 approximately Documentary film makers, photographers, workshops by specialists Biannually, I didn't find them difficult since most of them were practice based.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunities are limited with less than 10 companies coming in to campus recruit. 10 LPA is the maximum package and 3 LPA is the minimum package offered. 20-25% Be a part of the entertainment industry, clear NET examination to become an associate professor, do Ph.D, take up communication roles.
Fees and Financial Aid
I cannot comment on the fees hike but the course was about 2 lacs with certain security deposit that was returned after the course completion. Maybe there is some financial assistance scheme for those below the poverty line.
Campus Life
Great collection of books and journals in the library. There is projector and most of the classrooms have ac in them. Most of the assignments are outdoor based. There are alumni web pages on different social media platforms.
