Remarks

University on its level is very good & also very famous & its deg is valid throughout India Its regional centers are very slow workers & it needs to be revamped.

Entrance Preview

No entrance exam required. I had to do side wise preparations, so i opted for M.A in English from IGNOU. No interview process was there. Only I had to fill the form at the regional center & submit it. As I had done B.A in Eng, so i opted for M.A course in Eng which can help me in cracking CBSE NET exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The structure of course was very good & well organised but it was on the tough side. Very less focus on practicals but I had to submit 8 ASSIGNMENTS in total in the 2yr M.A course. No such research initiatives was undertaken. The elective options were Eng. studies in India, American Novel, American Literature.

Internships Opportunities

No internship as it was a general deg course, not a professional deg course (MBA, B.tech, etc). But as I mentioned previously, we had to submit the 8 assignments, which was graded.

Placement Experience

3.5

I cannot say about this since mine was a distance course & that too M.A in Eng, so no question of placement. I have no knowledge of placements that took place at IGNOU head campus Delhi.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it was a distance course from IGNOU, so it was somewhat affordable. The details are- Rs 4500- 1st year Rs 4500- 2nd year Rs 120 per subject- Rs 120×8 (total subjects in M.A course) =Rs 960

Exam Structure

The exams of IGNOU are held twice a year- in June & in December. So it was absolutely a chill culture.

Faculty

4

As it was a distance course, so there is no question of faculty. I prepared all the subjects on my own. No interaction involved. Ya, I want to share that the faculty members who check the answer sheets were very strict in marking.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In IGNOU, you can study from anywhere because the courses are offered in distance and online mode. You don’t have to attend regular college; you can study at home using the books, PDFs, and online lectures. IGNOU also provides online teachers through live classes, recorded videos, and doubt-clearing sessions on their online platforms. This makes it easy for students to learn even if they are working or living in another city.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For the course i must say that this is something everyone needs to study about even if it's for just a part. We have ethics, moral, cultural relativism and etc. In our syllabus and it all really help to make our thinking rational, to see World from that point of view from where one can see the clarity. It's really necessary for improvement in personality and making good decision. I think there's need for making this course more practical like teaching, we can teach students about essentials of philosophy for there betterment of decision making from an early age.

The course that I opted for is Political Science and it is very relevant to the exam that I am preparing for. I often take help of the online material they provide. It is often recommended curriculum for UPSC/MPSC/political journalism. However they need to provide teachers or short video lectures do that the course become comprehensive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very relevant and covers all the history topics comprehensively. The study material is very good as many upsc aspirants and students preparing for competitive exams refer it. Though the curriculum can be improved by limiting and only adding the essential topics in it. There is too much of unnecessary information which makes it difficult to understand at times.
