Likes

The college infrastructure is nice and cool.
The staff is quite good and really helpful.
The placement services are okay and you can get internships opportunity here.

Dislikes

The college canteen food. But it got a little nice after some complaints.
If i talk about DU North campus (Arts faculty) the environment became uncomfortable during college elections.
Department working slowly it's quite annoying.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Hindi Department professors are professional. Their teaching method is quite nice. But sometimes they cancelled the class and don't inform This troubles those students who have to travel from far away to come here. The central library's infrastructure isn't that good.

Internships Opportunities

They provide internships under some specific course like Economics hons. Commerce, science etc. They shared every details in their specific WhatsApp groups. There is a internship for Hindi Hons course as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm Tanisha. I'm a college student currently pursuing my Master's in Hindi Literature from University of Delhi I've completed my graduation from Janki Devi Memorial College of Delhi University in the year 2023. The college fees were same for everyone who has reservation or those who has not. I've never claimed any scholarship in my graduation year.

Campus Life

The Janki Devi Memorial College fest is always the best. The Diwali fest is blast it's a wonderful experience you can get in your college life. Jdmc's library is amazing you'll surely get everything as per your interest. The college supports different sports and cultural programmes.

Admission

I did not apply to any other university except Delhi University. I've always wanted to get admission in Delhi University. Now all the universities have made entrance exam compulsory for taking admission, I got admission in Masters through that only.

Faculty

The faculty is approachable for the problems sometimes. The Hindi Department is quite nice and helpful but sometimes they took too much time to solve a minimum problem. The exam pattern is quite okay and classrooms are nice and not much ventilated due to centralised Air conditioners.

Delhi University from my Eyes

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have did my BA in the same course that's why I opted for this again in my MA. The curriculam was quiet good according to the previous syllabus. Whatever I have read in my bachelors, I got to know it deeper in my Masters. The timings of the exams were okay according to the syllabus. Also there was no difficulty level if you have read the syllabus properly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I had done my bachelors in Sociology (H), I found it fit to pursue public administration and due to my other prior engagements I opted for the ODL programme hence IGNOU. The course can be very lengthy and tiring and above all you have to figure it all out on you own and so it can get a bit confusing too sometimes. The exams and assignment submissions happen only once a year.

Mediocre College Experience - Shortfall of Administration

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course considering my interest in East Asian culture and Languages. The Faculty: Student ratio is 1:40 and most of the professors are Ph.D scholars. The teaching method comprises reading books and learning after it which stipulates the form of an ancient education system like any other mediocre Indian University. "An important factor to consider is that faculty sometimes fell short due to a shortage of subject masters(or should I say language) For example, Chinese faculty is much in number and experience than Korean and Japanese while the latter suffer the incompetency of the number of faculty. Term exams happened to be very fast but it was due to the internal issues that remain consistent in DU and except that there would be tons of Internal Assessments that play a major role in one's SGPA. Exam level - Hard!

Overall College life experience.

Along with Gargi college I chose some North campus colleges too because of high NIRF ranking . Due to high cut-off and belonging from a general category usually students are not able to crack north campus colleges. This is the main reason why competition is high and seats are less of we look at yearly registrations. You need to give CUET right after completing 12th standard in order to get into top ranked colleges. This college is not good enough for upgrading skill and knowledge.

I have applied many college such as IPU and other colleges of DU IPU have very costly and expensive fees structure where in DU have cheap. But DU addmission is based on CUET marks. In 1st and 2nd round i doesn't get bcom. And in 3rd round i got SSNC with bcom but college disappointe me very much.
