Likes

Supportive professor, they help the students with any sort of difficulties
Good infrastructure such as canteen, sports ground with good batting wickets and equipments
Location is perfect as it's within 1km from metro and connectivity is nice

Dislikes

Attendance issue as teachers would complain about attendance even if I'm a sports student
They would give preference to Christian students
I think food was a bit expensive as compared to other colleges

18000 per Annum For sports quota Which includes tuition fees and others It's a very affordable fees for a student pursuing such an elite course and that too from such a reputed college. Also you get reimbursement if you play at high level in sports quota

Jesus and Mary provides you with lots of activities and there are over 50+ societies you can take part in according to your interest. It's a great platform to showcase your inner talent and co curriculum

Admission

As I took admission through sports quota, we have to give trails and submit our performance certificates like state, national etc. you're selected on the basis of your performance as well as on the level you play for.

Faculty

Very well experienced teaching staff and the teacher student ratio is 30:1, that's quite good, teachers are very supportive and qualified. You can always rely on their notes before exams. I never had any bad experience with any teacher

Course Curriculum Overview:

Approach towards course structure is appreciable. Being a social science doesn't only means history and stuff but rather an inter- disciplinary approach towards all subject and this is what this course teaches us. For the real world preparation, we are taught with real world examples and given field level assignments. Adding more of real life ventures can be really beneficial. Exams timing are same as others, at the end of semester.

LSR - sociology Honours review

Placement Experience:

Campus Placements are competitive and hard to get. Usually multiple offers are limited to few disciplines such as Commerce or economics. While many arts students usually dont sit for placements in that high a number. Highest packages have gone upto around 45LPA, while average package remains somewhere around 12-14 LPA While companies such as BCG,. mckinsey etc do visit campus and as I said- they are more economics and commerce oriented but other discipline students also get placed- just not in these high numbers. Usually around 8-9 GPA is a good score for placemets. The employability is good in the market as the college does have strong Alumni Network and also is a recognised and reputed name in the job market.

JMC life my way

i actually did not apply to any other college , the reason being that I am pursuing ca and needed a govt college to balance my attendance along with it , govt colleges do not put a lot of burden as to attendance. so I applied to du and then created my preference list and got JMC according to it and tbh I do not at all regret coming to JMC. the admission experience was really nice , I was happy to get into DU and that too such a nice college , I think that JMC gets less recognition than it should get. admission process is through giving cuet exam, filling in the preference list and the according to the cutoff we get admission...Read More

JMC is a beauty!!

Girls college was definitely the priority and only two colleges for which I wanted to go. First was LSR and then JMC. The cut-off for LSR was 763 and for KMC it was 745.
