Remarks

IT is a very good college to study in the eastern zone.the faculty are good. The only problem here is that we have to be punctual in our task.

Course Curriculum Overview

The undergraduate courses offer B.Tech in engineering fields including Information Technology while the postgraduate courses offer M.Tech. There is a provision for Ph.D in Electronics and Communication Engineering and MSc. in Information Science. The institute offers postgraduate diploma course (Polytechnic) in Management Studies.

Internships Opportunities

The college Internship and training department is very good and Cooperative with the student ,Student are allowed to apply in any company from it. IEM also has provision for Training / Internship in its own place.

Placement Experience

Our college is famous for its good placement it gives near about 100% placement every academic batch. With an average of 4L per anum to am max of 15L per anum.

We have a technical fest under the name of Inovacion, It is also one of the event of great success. We have a cultural fest also organised every yearother event involve inter college football & cricket tournament.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was feasible enough for the student. It was less compared to other private engineering college. It is around 39k per semesterswhich is i think normal for any college and yes there are fee waver too.

Fees and Financial Aid

loan is provided by banks and yes there are many scholarship opportunity for all. There is a TFW for students for which they have to apply. On approval the are given a full fee waver.

Campus Life

As a normal scenario of every engineering college the good of girls is to boy is not that good. Hostel parties are just the best part of engineering. Workshops are organised at a regular interval for students which include coding ,robotics etc. Cultural & tech fest are organised every year.every gender is given equal weight.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel was descent and the rooms was on shearing basis both veg & non veg food was served in the messit was cool to be in hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

All my seniors are well placed and a leading a happy life many of them have went abroad for further education. As per them the college has taught them to be punctual which is helping them now to stand at par in corporate.

Exam Structure

It was a chilled out schedule. We had regular gaps during exams as well as during the schooling hours.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

So I take admission through WBJEE in IEM KOLKATA in B.tech in electrical engineering. So now I talked about eligibility criteria:- You should pass your +2 from any board with a maximum of 60% Admission in this college is 3 types WBJEE, JEE MAIN, IEMJEE all three forms you will get notified by college dunia if you have an account in it. So the IEM KOLKATA is one of the best private colleges in Kolkata and you can say in India also so the cuttoff goes very high you have to get minimum rank for this college. Review of My IEM University

When I was searching for the best college to get the admission, some people told me to try for Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) and after I got admitted to this college, I really understood that I selected the right college. I will always prefer this college because discipline is strictly obeyed in IEM and all the teachers are like parents. In 2019, admission was going on offline and it was held around the month of July. This year, due to covid pandemic, the admission process was held around the month of October and from 2nd November, online education started for the first year batch. According to me, the one and only bad aspect is that every semester, Rs. 65,000 is to be paid by each and every student to continue with their education which is quite high according to me.
