Facilities have my heart on its own trip as they have made me fall in love with engineering.
2 canteens which not just serves delicious food but nutritious too.

Dislikes

First and foremost the locals as they form groupism and leave outsiders alone.

Course Curriculum Overview

CSE and Data Science and I was confused between both. Choosing Data Science was easy as I checked the future value and Data Science today holds more value than any other course on earth. Data analysts or data sciencetists are paid more than any other individuals. Not just engineering companies but even finance companies hire data scientists.

Class Size: 57Course Fees: INR 310000 per year

Placement Experience

From Goldman Sachs to Big 4, every top companies come here for placements. Percentage wise I would call placements are decent as overall percentage stands at around 70%. De Shaw gave the highest package of 37LPA to one of the students from the college in 2023. I think this is by far the highest package offered at NHCE and average for our department stands at 8LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fees is 3 lakhs and more and from last year it has only increased. Fees I would is still moderate as 3 lakhs is reasonable for the kind of facilities that are provided. Since ours is a private college SC/ST or OBC students have to pay 30-40% lesser but only if they have come through merit. If one comes through management quota then fees is same for all.

Campus Life

Our annual fest is Sargam but it's not the only event as NHCE is full of events. Every month we have some events as there are many departments and departmental fests are also of large magnitude. Classrooms are equipped with all the latest amenities and mind you it's the sporting facilities at the campus that made our college one of the best in Bengaluru.

Admission

I am from meerut Uttar Pardesh and I was clear that I will study in Bangalore. All the outsiders have to give Comed-K compulsorily. So, NHCE is available for students ranking in range of 5-8k. My rank was around that and therefore I had this clonlu chocie. Like other colleges in this bracket weren't as good as NHCE.

Faculty

Faculties for Data Science are more than that of CSE. Since I am still exploring as I am just in my second year all I can say is we have around 9 faculties including both the semester last year. So for less than 60 students 9 faculties means 1 faculty per 6-7 students.

In the 5th semester, we have TCS training and placement are available and We have Placement cell they provide job-oriented programs, and VTU Belagavi University also provides campus placement offers they are reported companies are visited for hiring like TCS,Wipro,Infosys, NTT data, etc. They hire only those people having 6 cgpa and no backlogs

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester onwards you can attend campus placements. And many companies will visit and selection will depend on you. Since this year it was online the competition was huge. I think the highest package was 10LPA and the average is 3.5 to 4.5. Many got placed in different companies with different roles. My plan is to work in an MNC.

Since I am from Uttar Pradesh, i had no choice but come to Bangalore as for Dara Science, this is the best place to be. Sample size for everything is great and therefore the practical exposure is best here. Comed-K is one way of getting here or management quota. New Horizon College of Engineering is the only college I applied for and got admission in Management Quota. The admission quota was through either KCET or Management, KCET rank <= 14000 would be accepted for Computer Science and Engineering program.
