Course Curriculum Overview
Computer science is a hot field in todays day. As with increasing ai field , i feel computwer helps increase our knowledge in ai and there are include courses in computer science that help us understand better. The curriculum helps you but its uptoo to upskill yourself to get better placements. I guess the course could get more diverse to computer science and more online courses provided by the college. In Second year there are two internals and one semester end exam and they are not difficult as long as you attened classes
Placement Experience
From fifth semester the students become elgible for placements.They undergo placement training and need to obtain a specific CGPA to be able to attend the training, There are various companies that attendto our college such as VISA GOOGLE and various other productr and service based companies. the percentage of student getting placed is high My plan is to attend higher studies abroad
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees i paid for new horizon is 2.5 lakhs. The tuition fees for each branch is different. There is various fees for each semester like exam fees for each semester and that is about 3000 rupees and for management students with donation it can sum up to 35 lakhs per student as heard from my friends. There are various scholarships. There are scholarships available for students entering the college like from the entrance exam like CET and students securing ranks below 100 and below get amazing scholarship oppurtunites and there are scholarship oppurtunites specific for women(with certain conditions to avail)
Campus Life
The annual fest in new horizon is called SARGAM. It is one of the most happening college fest in bangalore. People from various states of india attend to this national level collegiate fest. The library in our college is diverse and many book studies related available to read and borrow. There is a smart board in every class so that students sitting in the corner can see the board and can understand the topics learnt in class There is extracurricular activites and many sport team present in new horizon. There are many clubs in new horizon to join like dance club singing club , tedxnhce club. These clubs help boost your career opportunities in many ways
Admission
I applied to various othert colleges but they were quite far to where i live. The best option was new horizon college as they have good infrastructure and proper studies oriented programs which help us in abroad studies if interested. i wasnt rejected from any of the college i applied. It was just to far from the place i stay and i wish to stay as a dey scholar. Admission process is simple. There are two types of students that come to the college i.e.; Management and CET students.The Eligibility exams are CET and the most preferred course is Computer science and they have six sections because of the demand.
Faculty
Faculties are friendly but are strict about discipline. Very approcable for doubts on anything .There is teacher in second year called yogitha maam. Very chill and she knows whether we are in the mood to study. There are few faculties that i dont like that i dont want to mention. They are very strict unneccessarily. Exams are very doable in new horizon as long as you attend classes regularly.Everyone clwears the exams only a few dont clear. The course curriculum is relevent and can be more associated to each field
