Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Sanskrit course was really easy. I had approx four papers of core in every semester. The curriculum was interesting and not too vast.the syllabus was also not too heavy. Being regular in vlass can alone give you good marks in exam. The way the professors teach is something i really liked.they would relate to real life situations . They should improve in one thing.the should plan trips which would be helpful for studies only like museum, old heritage etc. The frequency of exams was per semester wise.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

In starting first internships were unpaid. But then many companies like Accenture, Dalberg, Trinity, Kepler Cannon, Hindustan Unilever, Blackstone, BlackRock, Wells Fargo, and Praxis Global Alliance gived paid internship oo with a stipend of approx 15000-25000 per month. In collaboration with LSR-IQAC and with the guidance of the Teacher in Charge, Dr. Renu Kaul, students of the Department of Statistics were given an opportunity to intern at Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) under their Social Statistics Division, Central Statistics Office. It was a 2-month long internship wherein students were allotted different projects under SDG Monitoring Unit of Social Statistics Division. The central theme around which each project revolved, i.e. Sustainable Development Goals – the 2030 Agenda holds a great significance.

Placement Experience

4.5

After 5th semester , students were eligible for placements. Many prestigious companies like google, mncs etc came and apointed students the highest package at my time was 50 LPA and average was 25 LPA The placement percentage was 60 percent.my plan after getting degree is high education .i am doing masters .

Fees and Financial Aid

The first year fee was 15580. In this 5000 was returned as caution money after the graduation was completed. If i talk about hostel fees it was approx 50000 for a year. In that 15580 fee,500 was library fees. I belong to sanskrit department so i didn't have any lab fees. 1000+ was electricity fees. Then my tution fees was approx 9000+ for the year. There were scholarship for the best student of each semester. Approx 6000 rs was given to them as scholarship. For students of ews category, their fees was refunded. There was medical fees of 500 approx.there was no extra admission fees. In the first i paid 15580 ,2nd year it was 14800+,3rd year also it was 14800+ . There was examination fees every semester .the fees depended on the numbers of papers of that semester. In the first semester i paid 1000 approx i had 5 papers. In 2nd semester again i paid approx 1000 including GE. In the semesters of 2nd year i paid approx 700+. In last year i had no GE so i paid approx 580 rs.

Campus Life

5

The annual fest of our college is tarang. It's held in the month of april. Around 15000 students from all over india comes to that fest. About library ,you will get books related to all subjects topic, curriculum. The college have lots of sports facilities including, badminton, volleyboll, athletics, martial arts, judo, swimming etc

Admission

Honestly i applied to more colleges of south campus like deshbandhu, gargi etec but i always wanted to go for LSR because it was my dream college.the admission process was easy .after you get confirmed for the admission online you will get a call to submit you documents like original marksheet, transfer certificate etc. I had good marks so i didnt get any rejections. Overall the experience was really good.

Faculty

4.5

The exams are semester wise for my course. Before the semester exam we had internals of 25 marks. Out of that 25 marks 5 marks was for attendence. More then 85% of attendence would give for 5 marks.10 for assignment/test.10 for project work. The theory paper was of 75 marks. The exams was extremely easy if you are a regular students the exams would be extremely easy for you. The questions are repeated every year. Complete pys for 3-4 years and one can attempt whole paper. About faculties, the best thing about them is their sincerity towards teaching. Faculties were extremely strict with attendence. They are always ready to listen to students doubt and clear them. We had a really healthy discussion in all topics with them. I had 5 professors in sanskrit department. 1 male 4 female. At last i would say they are supportive ,help you explore more. In times of freshers or farewell too they give good fun ideas. I really loved them and even after my graduation they are still in my contact

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The curriculum was overall good and being a economics honours courses it was challenging at times. The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
