Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is really helpful and has relevant elements throughout it. The curriculum does provide you with immense knowledge about the world. If you're going to pursue English hons. I would really suggest you to pursue it as it excites and provide you with a lot of facts about the modern literature as well as the Victorian and other literature. The teaching methods are also simplified and easy to understand, so you won't be facing any problem with that.

Internships Opportunities

5

Many companies are placed in the college every year. Recently I got an opportunity to work with younity community, which pays on my performance. However many other companies are also there which provides fixed stipend ranging from 2000-5000 rs.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are provided to students every year. Even internships are also provided to students by the placement cell. Many of my friends got intership through the place cell interships. You can apply for internship from 2 semester onwards

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees for 3rd year English honours students is around 11,000. However last year, when I was in 2nd year it was around 10,000. It has increased a little bit. However it varies between courses but according to me, the maximum yearly fees is around 14,000. Other than that there is examination fees which varies between 1200-1700 RS.

Campus Life

5

The college organizes annual cultural fest known as "PANGHAT". Apart from that every society perform their own fests too. And the social life of college is really awesome. You can always meet and be friends with new people in various societies. Library provides you with a lot of books including competitive exams and the course books as well, you can get those books issued for 14 days and then you can re-issue them for further use. Talking about sports, we have basketball, volleyball, football, cricket teams and other sports as well like taekwondo.

Admission

As with the new cuet addmission, we couldn't get more options to lock in for. So students had to resolve with the choice they were given with. However coming to this college was a great decision of mine as the faculty is really insightful and gets the better person of the students out in the field. You would require above 570 to 660 or above marks in cuet in general category.

Faculty

5

Faculty is really nice and approachable. They do look out for you and help you out with your career related problems as well. The teaching methods and ideology of the faculty is really genuine. One of my favourite faculty of English hons. Is Jeremiah sir, he is very kind and at all times, approachable. He'd really help you out with anything in the college. There are mainly 6 exams. 3 of your core exams and the rest 3 of your additional subjects. Although the exams are pretty easy. And the ratio of failed students is very low.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I kind of do not understand the point of studying ancient statecraft and political theory. As much as these subjects could be valued by some, in my opinion, I know that i'm NEVER going to have to use these topics in my daily life. So why make it such a big issue? I suppose they should focus more on topics like geopolitics, which would definitely affect our day to day life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in theoretical subjects. Even in my school time, I liked theory subjects more than practical or numerical subjects. This is one of the reason I chose this specific course. Another reason is that I like reading non fictional novels. At the age of 15, I started reading novels but after diving into this course I'm liking the fictional novels too. I don't think this course needs to improve anything. It is in it's best form at the point.

I think students become eligible for campus placements in 5th semester as now they are mature enough to be given such responsibility and to secure their future. I am not aware about the number of companies and offers. I am also not aware about the highest or lowest package offered but the average package for my college is ?6.5 lakhs per annum. The cgpa should be above 7.5 for better chances of getting placements. My plan is to get a good college placement in starting of the 5th semester.
