Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course and curriculum is well designed keeping NEP in mind. The course and curriculum is same in all DU colleges and the best part that i loved about BA course is the combination of Economics and Politics which was my dream course. The Economics curriculum is very advance.

Placement Experience

5

As I am a fresher i don't know much about placements but I have heard that the students of Economics, Commerce, Business Economics, Maths and Stats are placed very well. The avg package is somewhat around 6LPA per annum. my plans for future is to apply for masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees charged from students in SGTB Khalsa College is around Rs. 24950 for BA courses. But According to me it's worth it. The college provides us with fully air conditioned classrooms which is rare in Delhi University. Also the sports infrastructure here is also the best in DU.

Campus Life

5

The annual fest of sgtb khalsa is Lashkara which has a great legacy. Singers like karan auijla, diljeet dosanjh etc have performed here. The books and readings are available very easily the readings are available in many shops across north campus. The facilities in classrooms include ACs. The sports and ECAs are the best here due to good cricket ground, TT rooms and Tennis and Basketball courts. The social clubs are amazing here like Enactus NSS Teghpremeurs etc they are amazing and provides great exposure

Admission

Apart from SGTB khalsa college i applied for SRCC, Hindu, Hansraj of DU and St Xaviers Mumbai. I couldn't clear the cuttoff of the above mentioned colleges as my score was not that good which was 714/800 for the above mentioned colleges of DU min. 740/800 is needed. My English exam didn't went well that's why my score was less. And for st xaviers the cuttoff was 98% and my score was 96.6%. The process of admission is common for all DU colleges that is through CSAS portal.

Faculty

5

The faculty members are very nice here. The faculty student ratio is somewhat 1 teacher for 40 students approx. Also the faculty is approachble and helpful as well. There is one semester end exam which is od moderate difficult level and various weekly quizzes which are easy.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is something that can have improvements. For example I am studying C++ in my computer minor class which is becoming less and less relavent as compared to a lamguage like python. Alot of job prospects require students to know a language like R so I feel things like that should be taught so that the course cam make a student more real world ready.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is on a difficult side . There are subjects like statistics and maths which are too practical and hard . But this opens my mind towards practical approaches. Moreover the demand for this course is much more then its related courses like bcom and bba.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course requires a lot of analytical and logical thinking. The scope is quite wide in my course without having any professional degree too like research, analytics, finance manager etc. This course gives opportunity to gain applied skills and as we are dealing with quantitaive aspects our statistics also gets better with time. Few improvements which i would like suggest are that their should more practical and real life knowledge, currently it is very theoritically heavy. Teaching online softwares must be compulsoury so that we remain updated with technology.

Placements of my college are pretty good. The placement cell of my college is pretty active and facilitataes the placement process. Companies like Deloitte, EY and PWC often come to our college for placements with the average package being Rs. 8,00,000. After getting this degree, i will pursure another degree in MBA or I might also take a part in the placement process and pursue an MBA later. Students in semester 6 and further can take part in the placement process but there are internship fairs and summer internship programmes for students who are not eligible for placements

I have a keen interest in pursuing in Economics field as a career and hence my degree perfectly aligns with my career goals The curriculum is not very effective when we talk aboht the real world exposure however it is very good for further academic pursuits The curriculum could be a bit more practical based where we get exposure to the real industry as well. The exams are held twice in an year. The difficulty level is moderate
