Course Curriculum Overview

5

Agriculture is a very crucial subject in the current scenario. That's why I chose this course to introduce myself to the world of farmers. Without agriculture, the world will not survive. Course curriculum is good too. They cover up almost every subject related to agriculture.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are various internship opportunities with good companies like Tata, Parash, Bayer, Syngenta, FMC, UPL, SWAL etc. These are fertilizer and pesticide companies. One will learn and experience hand to hand learning with these companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per semester fee was Rs.6900 Cost of four semesters was around Rs 30000. Tution fees: 0 Lab fees: 1500 Admission fees: 18500 Development fees: 200 Other batchmates had to pay same amount I received no scholarship.

Campus Life

5

There are several events happen in our university. There is an annual fest, also annual sports meet, Saraswati Puja, Viswakarma Puja, Ganesh Puja and many festivals are being arranged every year. Students and teachers also take part in celebrating various days like Teachers' Day, Rabindra Jayanti etc. There is a big library in university having a huge collection of books, journals and papers.

Admission

I applied to Surendranath College in department of Zoology. But I didn't take admission in that college because this field of agriculture has better career opportunities than that one. I didn't get rejected from any college. The admission process In my university is very transparent and clear. Any 12th pass candidate with 60% marks or more is eligible to apply. Also anyone can get admission through the all India entrance exam conducted by ICAR. The overall admission experience is very good and clear. There is no complications or any errors in the admission process. I think it happened to be the best career choice for me.

Faculty

5

The professors of the respective faculties are great and very well educated persons. They can teach you to the core of the subjects and give you a clear idea about the topic you're going to learn. Faculty to student ratio was good. Relation between students and faculties are very strong and good. Exams are very good and the questions are moderate.

Interview Experience

5

The admission procedure was completely merit based, the calculation of merit score was done regarding the marks of Higher Secondary examination and English subject marks. An interview session will be there in admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.

Biotechnology is a highly demanding course in today's world. The syllabus for this course is mostly around bookish knowledge and you have to gather outside knowledge on your own. There must be an internship for every student arranged by department itself in various other institues or labs for practical work experience.
