Agriculture provides jobs and so it is this popular. The faculty student ratio is a good one and is yet to increase in the following years with more and more students taking up the course. The faculty members are well qualified for the field, with most of them have undergone their phd and the teaching method is also good. Term exams are a bit untimely because of the covid, but still the university is trying to manage the time. Passing is not an issue, it's way easier than subjects like physics.

Internships with various small scale companies are available in the university. Pradan provides interships after which they even provide jobs. Projects include making surveys in villages of rural india.

Placements do occur but are Irreregular. Students from 7th semester are eligible for the placements. Companies like pradan mankind etc. Do visit frequently. Average packages 5lakh per annum. Approx 30 % and above get placements.

Fees are likely to be very low as it's a govt. University. A meagre 4900 Rs per semester. Scholaeships are available from the govt. Of West Bengal. Free studentship can be availed on permission from the university.

The annual festival of UBKV is celebrates during the month of march for a consecutive 3 days. Books are widely available in the library. Classrooms are a bit oldschool type but still they are efficient. Sports day is weel celebrates and even team of players visit national universities for agri-sports. Drama, song, dance, literature clubs are also present.

Hostel is available for everyone. Hostels are equipped with a bed a table chair and a cupboard. Meal quality is a bit matter of concern, as it's not the best everyday. The menu is well balanced and options of veg nonveg is available. Hostel registration is done at the time of physical verification.

Admission is based on merit of the class 12th exams. Eligibility-60% and above secured in 12th. Application can be made online at the university website, www.ubkv.ac.in , reservation benefits are available according to the categories. Scope of improvement: a more efficient and quick processing of the applications.
