Course Curriculum Overview

Exams are frequently taken. If you study the lectures well you can pass. Exams are theoretical as well as practical. CGPA based examinations. You can pass only by studying. Not by other means. Do study well

Fees and Financial Aid

Here is no job placement. You can get WB state scholarships. SVMCM, Aikyashree, OASIS scholarship and also University merit cum means scholarship and WBFS Freeship. Final assistance is not that much. No job opportunity through campussing.

Campus Life

Social club of UBKV is Uttara on Facebook. Except no social groups or clubs are present. In campus playground is there for cricket, football, volleyball, badminton playing. Chess playing, carrom are the indoor games.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is not that much good. Hostel buildings are old and needs to be repaired. But the environment is very good for studying and doing your own work or gossiping with friends. Very good hostel environment.

Hostel Fee: INR 1200 per year

Admission

Admission through WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination). Through counseling you can select the university for B.Tech. course and get seat as per your rank. Eligibility 12th pass. OBC, SC, ST reservation. 2 seats each. Total seat capacity 30.

Placement Experience:

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from 7 and 8 semester also their are many placement on thee intern companies. thier are total of 50 t0 60 companies that visits year which leads to very good placement percentage, in mining its above 90 percent. companies which come are infosys, microsoft, google , coal india, tcs, pwc etc. the higest pacage was 39 lacs by coal india. as mentioned above the placement is very good and almost everybranch placement is between 79 to 95 percentage of student which are placed, their are many mass recruiter if you didnt get the best pacakge you still have the chance to get a good package from the mass recruiter. my plan after degree is to advance in computer science even if i dont have the branch but i have the passion to do coding and become a web developer also i will try to get some more degree like mba and mtech and i will also try if i get selection to study abroad.

A GOOD COLLEGE WITH GOOD PLACEMENT , SPORTS FACILITY.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I applied to Surendranath College in department of Zoology. But I didn't take admission in that college because this field of agriculture has better career opportunities than that one. I didn't get rejected from any college. The admission process In my university is very transparent and clear. Any 12th pass candidate with 60% marks or more is eligible to apply. Also anyone can get admission through the all India entrance exam conducted by ICAR. The overall admission experience is very good and clear.
