Experience Of A MAKAUTian

The course is a lot easier than the other CS majors like AI, ML, CSE, CST and others. And if you aren't good at studying or especially mathemetics this is better for you because you have comparably short and easy syllabus so you can spend more time learning and improving your raw coding skills. But the syllabus is very outdated so if you really want learn you have to do it yourself from other sources so it is a very good for self learners.

The internship opportunities aren't very much mostly the promote unpaid internships there's hardly any internships with good stipends. But they provide internships in all the fields like front-end, back-end, full stack, android app development, web development, AI, ML, Data Science, Data Analyst and many others. I got one unpaid intership too and I had a preety good experience.

As much as I have heard till now, the placement in this college is not very good, although there is some oppertunites and some startups and mnc companies hire students from here like TCS, Wipro, Deloitte etc... The highes packege that was offered was 4.2 LPA I heard that from my seniors it was in previous year. But the placement is totally depends on your skill and knowledge if you have enough of it you'll get placed.

The total course fee in BCA is 176300 for 4 years. In the first year we have to pay like 50000 rupees. The tution fee per sem is around 20000, caution deposit is 8000, registration fee is 500, development fee is 2200, lab fee is 4800, Exam fee is 1200 per sem and there is total 8 semesters. There is many government provided and private scholarships availabe the most poular one is SVMCM where you get 18000 per year.

The campus life is actually very good and lively, there's many event organise by students, there's many coding competition is held by them also many clibs like dance, signing, anime, arts and coding and other clubs are there. There's many books availbale in the library and it's very quite so you don't have any problem studying. Overall the campus live is very decent.

I had applied in some other colleges and had an eye on them but in the I chosed this college because firstly it is a government university, secondly the course fee and other fees are very less compared to other colleges, thirdly the university is close to my home so I don't have to travel long distance, the campus enviornment is good and the seniors were also good.

Some faculties are really understanding and have very freindly attitude and professionalism but some are really bad they teach about things that even they are learning for the first time. There is a teacher who use to send Youtube videos and and teach while watching it in the class.
