The Heritage Academy Admission

Candidates seeking admission to any of the courses need to appear in the CET exam conducted by MAKAUT. The cut-off marks and ranks of the candidates are released by MAKAUT after the exam.

Candidates having a valid score have to participate in the online counseling. After counseling, they have to submit the documents for verification. The Principal or registrar will confirm the admission after verification

Click on the “Apply Online for CET”
Fill in all the required details
Click on the “Submit” button.
After submission, you will receive CET Registration Number and Password on your mail ID.
Login into an application form by clicking the option “Applicant Login for CET”
Fill in basic registration details and
Enter the security code & click on the “Submit” button again.
Pay the fee of application and then fill in other details like Education Details, Address, and Examination City etc.
Upload your recent photograph and signature.
Submit the form
Take the print copy of the submitted application form and receipt of payment for future reference.

The teachers are good they teach properly they interact very welll but mostlt in bengali they speak nd teavh as well in bengali but they do solve the problem and are friendly with the students and help the students.
Big companies like deloitte, e and y, wipro, and mindtree came into the college for placements and hired a huge number of candidates.
The canteen is really cheap and honestly has the best food.

The classrooms do not have ac which is very difficult in summer
No ac very difficult during summers. for this most of the students dont come ti=o college, they stay at home and sit under the ac
There is no ac and everyone has to sit in the library

A Great Learning Experience with a Vibrant Campus Life

The labs are well maintained with the latest software and equipment
The approximate girls to boys ratio in BCA is around 30:70

Dislikes

The facilities in our BCA Building are quite average in comparison to the B tech
One majorIssue is that while the faculty room has air conditioner the student classroms do not
The library is not accessible all the time

Its location within the city was also a key factor. ai applied to Techno India, Iem and Amity Kolkata - Techno India had mixed reviews and was slightly expensive - IEM highly competitive with strict cutoffs - Amity Kolkata the fee structure was too high Considering affordability and quality education, Heritage Academy was the best choice. Admission process:- - 12th pass with Mathematics/Computer science as a subject - Admission is based on CET score, but direct admission is also available for some seats - no fix cutoff, but 60% + student preference

Likes

The girl to boy ratio is 2:1 to be fair as our classes had more girls than boys
The campus is huge compared to most colleges

Admission:

This college wasn't my first preference. Techno India was my first preference but thank god I changed. Heritage is much better than Techno any given day. Getting admission here is pretty easy compared to most colleges and at least they don't scam you for money like Techno India

I had applied for Meghnad saha institute of technology and techno Institute of technology and Amity University but academically heritage was better.To get admission here students have to get atleast 60 percent in 12th boards and CET exam is acceptable.

Not focusing on co curricualar activities as much it should be
The college classes still don't have any Air conditioner

Admission:

I applied to Jadavpur University through their entrance exam, however i was not selected there due to my low scores in their entrance exam. Then through various research I found out about the course of BCA in internet, since I had taken a year drop I found it would be perfect for me. Then through internet I found out heritage is one the best colleges in bengal for studying the BCA. The admission criteria of Heritage is quite simple, you need a minimum marks of 60 percentage in your 10th and 12th and you have to be eligible for their entrance exam CET. Overall the admission process is very smooth.

Admission:

You have to appear for CET and pick the college or your choice. And that's about all you need to do. Then you pay some money and sign some stuff I guess and then you show up to college and find out at the end of the first semester that you're supposed to have a feebook.

Media Science at THA: Is it worth it?

Campus life is great as we have a huge campus with events happening every now and then. Some of them include AdAdda, Journoscope, HAFF.
Campus is neat and clean, and ragging free which makes the college environment great! Classrooms are well furnished, clean and we have maclabs, audio visual lab, news studio for practical learning as well.

In order to apply for BMS, we had to fill a Common entrance test(CET) form and appear for the exam. Now you will qualify for the college according to the rank you acquire after the results of the test. My first preference was The Heritage Academy. The other options include iLead and Techno Main Salt Lake. But I chose THA solely because of the faculty and campus life. I also got selected for admission at St. Xaviers University, Kolkata. But I chose The Heritage Academy because it edges over others in terms of quality faculty members, engaging college life, and an anti-ragging campus. After clearing the CET conducted by MAKAUT, I had to clear a round of personal interview with respected Dean Ma'am of the Media Science department.

Likes

It has different clubs for different activities.
The infrastructure is pretty good, good for engaging in sports.

Dislikes

Classrooms get heated up during summers in the city.
75 percent Attendance is mandatory for everyone.

I chose this college because I thought it would be a good opportunity for me as I have heard it's a very reputed college in the city. The placements are not so good compared to other colleges.

Honest review about my college

Likes

I have engaged alot in non-academic co curricular activities and that's the fetch here. They always keep us busy with different activities be it academic or non-academic. So the stress factor was always low while I was there.
The campus life is top-notch. The whole campus is extremely large and gets you a breather. There were 3 affordable canteens during my time hopefully they are still there. The environment has been peaceful and overal the campus was great!

Admission:

I had applied to several colleges after my 12th but I specifically chose The Heritage Academy because... It was super near to my home The campus was large and better than most other colleges. Their involvement in co curriculum activities is excellent and it gives a breather from all the studies. The rumoured placement process was obviously great. I received my placement too successfully. I also applied to Techno and received my admission but I rejected them because of the rumoured placement session not being great and it was also far from my house. The other colleges I did look into were not good with the placements from what I heard so without any 2nd thought I went with THA. The admission process was smooth. They asked me for my marksheets or X and XII and I was eventually admitted based on my merits.

Likes

College environment is good. Through out the college life there were no case of ragging. They sign an anti ragging after admission.

Dislikes

There is no air conditioning in classrooms. Its scorching hot and humid, all you do is sweat all the time.
There were no college fest organised. Only the ones organised were of different colleges under the same Heritage group of institutions.

Admission:

The cutoff was i suppose 65% in 12th Boards. You can apply directly on the official website of college then you will have to give a cuet entrance exam of MAKAUT. They will shortlist you also you will have to pass the cuet and then after getting shortlisted college will conduct a Personal Interview. During my time it was lock down due to covid so they conducted online interview. Admission process was not difficult.
