Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because it is a professional course which provides better job opportunities. The curriculum makes us well prepared for the real world applications as the curriculum has various real world application based workshops, internships etc.

Internships Opportunities

Our University provides every students with internship opportunities. Internships are offered by various companies to our university students. Some of are SBI, INDIAN OIL, VANTAGE CIRCLE, ADITYA BIRLA etc. Every students has to do internship and present a project report on the same in the last semester.

Placement Experience

For MBA, Students are eligible to for campus placement from 3rd semester. Companies like ICICI, HDFC, SBI, VANTAGE CIRCLE, BANDHAN BANK etc. comes to our university for campus recruitment. Above 95% of students are places every year of this course. My plan is to get placed in a good company with a good package.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees are 85k per semester for the MBA degree. Admission fees are 65k. Additionally you'll have to pay 10k for security deposit and 6k for other miscellaneous fees. Scholarships are also available for the meritorious students. The university also provides all the necessary documents required for availing Education loans. The university Provides Placement opportunities to various industries. Above 95% students get placed every year.

Campus Life

There are various annual events happens in our university. Our Department has a annual event called MANAGEMIA . The university has a central Library which has all the necessary books required for the students. The classrooms are ICT enabled and digital classrooms. The university has various clubs that students can join.

Admission

Any Graduate with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation for reserved category). Students can apply either online or visiting the university campus. For online apply visit www.ustm.ac.in . The university conducts Entrance exam for the course. The students can also apply with CAT/MAT scorecard.

Faculty

Our Department has the Faculty to student ratio is around 1:12. Almost All the Faculties are Phd holders and the rests are pursuing the Phd. We can interact with the teachers whenever we are needed. Teachers provides all the necessary materials required for the course.

Placement Experience:

The placement process if two fold, with first one commencing in the first year for summer internships. And after the first year you either get PPO or you go for the final placements. 98-99% of the batch gets places, with some of them opting out the placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course because after hotel management i was looking for an online MBA and fortunalely i met with some one in my friend and he suggested me to do the same. Faculty was good. But no online or any classes. Timings of the term exams were good.

Placement Experience:

The placements are good enough but the statistics don't paint the whole picture and they somewhat hide the whole picture. The highest package was around 32 lakhs per annum and the average was around 16-17 Lakhs per annum. Around 95% of students get placed quite easily.

The institute offers ample placement opportunities and offers 100% placement to the students. The highest package in 2020 was 48.5 LPA, with the average package around 18.76 lakh rupees per annum. Companies like ABG, ITC, Bain, Deloitte, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Nomura participated in the placement process.

I want to study my previous university that was Guwahati university but my dream university was this University of science and technology Meghalaya. But wanted to study there because that was an government institute no money needed for semester fees and a very law budget students can study there and also a very good university of North-east Assam. I applied in Gauhati University but didnt get selected there because I couldn't crack their entrance exam.
